They swarrned the school as if they owned the place. Sure, why not? No longer was the class of '69 the underdog! With these sophomores came memories of a rather hectic Freshman year. Having been on split-sessions for the first half of the year, they were unaccustomed to normal high school life. They entered with a high and mighty shine which was soon marred by Kennedy High veterans along with their fellow freshmen, the 89'ers and the 8 Honor's, who were there before them. It was in their Freshman year that the 89-8 I-Ionor's program was discontinued. The two groups of freshmen met problems in getting together, but the situation was soon remedied with class elections. Once united, they successfully initiated the first annual Freshman Fun and F rolics With warm memories of the past and great hopes for the future, the class of '69 has big plans for subsequent years.
