Last Will and Testament We, the Tenth Grade of Kennedale High School of the City of Kenne- dale, Texas, being crazy and out of our minds, do publish this as our Last Will and Testament. First: We ask that the executors, the Ninth Grade, improve our horrible citizenship and increase our feeble grades. Second: We give our friendship and consolation to the Eighth Grade. Third: All the'rest of what we have, the Ninth Grade wants us to give as follows: Ronnie Bolar wills his hard head and temper to Jack Morgan and William Kirkpatrick, Alva June Brown wills her. ability to be Beat On to Mary Lane Taylor, Patsy Pearce and Margie Williams. Wanda Burdett wills her ability to stay out of school to Dorothy Mitch- ell and Sharon Miller. Leon Cunningham wills his way with the girls to Jerry Cooper and Royce Brewer. Dorothy Curry wills her sparkling personality to Joy Childress, Alma Pellegrini and Danene Fenoglio. Dickie Fuller wills his way of getting into trouble to Clarence Bell, Billy Cappers and Kenneth Tramel. Tommy Grissom wills his ways to get along with the teachers and his right to be called Pretty Boy to Pat Turner. Jerry Hale wills his ability to be the brains of the class to Bobbie Townsend, Kenneth Daugherty and Virgil Russell. Ann Hughes wills her lady-like and quiet ways to Jo Ann Ledbetter. Rosalie Lowery wills her ability to come to school late to Bobbie Hodon, Alva Elrod and Peggy Frazer. Gilbert Mills wills his ability to talk to Mr. Dobbs over the loud- speaker to Frank Houston and Arnold Hennesay. Jimmy Patterson wills his ability to be late to every class to Mickey Anthony and Charles Archer. Commie Payne wills all his old girl-friends to Jessie Mix and Norman Sheffield. Ruby Preston wills her love for the whole Male Race to Rebecca Johnson and Rosalie Haney. In the event that the Ninth Grade should graduate with us or before us, we leave everything to the Eighth Grade. Not being witnessed, we scribble our names this the 28th day of May in the year One Thusand Nine Hundred and Fifty-Four.

Class Prophecy In the summer of 1969, the graduating class of 1954 returned to witness the changes in their former classmates. As they entered Kennedale city limits, which had expanded quite a distance, they were delighted to see the progress that had been made. Mrs. Garland Curry, the former Ruby Preston, was the first to arrive and she informed us all that she had to bring her husband along to assure him she would not be flirting with all the other men. Among the early arrivals was Tommy Grissom, his wife and children who reside at Arlington, Texas. Tommy is known as His Honor, the Mayor of Arlington. Dorothy Curry, who is the noted piano instructress, is still playing the field and calls her home New York City, New York. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Cunningham, the former Rosalie Lowery, found true love at last and are blessed with nine healthy children, Leon is the manager of a nursery. Gilbert Mills, handsome young bachelor and playboy, is available to the first pretty girl that says yea. He expects to be married at the age of 97. Everett Winsett made a very impressive arrival with a big roar and a screech of brakes. More or less a private demonstration of his own cars that he manufactures. The Honorable Reverand Walter Lee Fuller, pastor of the new Kenne- dale Baptist Church, was present for the reunion and was quite a change from the rowdy Dickie Fuller we knew back in '53 and '54, who, I am sure, drew the respect of his former classmates. Jimmy Patterson and Commie Payne were quite a surprise to all, for they not only entered arm in arm discussing the world situation, but were readily agreeing with each other. They are competitors in business, both being distributors for some well-known auto manufacturers. Wanda Burdett, as she was known in the old days, arrived out of breath carrying little Phil, her youngest son. Alva June Brown, late as always, told everyone about her extravagant wedding to be held in the near future. It is to take place in the Kennedale Hotel, and we are all invited to attend. Everybody's attention was on the door as Ronnie Bolar, the promising young actor, walked in. His latest picture is t'There's No Gne Like Me, in which he sang the song, Please Release Me. P Jerry Hale, one of the last to arrive, was almost unable to attend because of a brain operation which required his services. He is a great specialist in that field. Ann Hughes, the last to arrive, had quite a surprise for everyone as she had gained so much weight she had to refuse the ice cream and cake that was served. Everyone had a wonderful time. Before we knew it, time had passed by and as we parted once again, everyoneis eyes were wet, as meeting again, and remembering our carefree school days of fifteen years before had left us a little wistful.
