Darrell was born February 28, 1934 and died February 4, 1950. He was a favorite with both teachers and pupils before and after his graduation in May, 1949. Arthur, our superintendent and friend. Superintendent's Message It's not always the hill you climb that makes the trouble; it's often the grain of sand that gets in your shoe. When one little thing rubs us the wrong way, we may feel down on the whole job. Like the man who for years worked hard without complaint to provide for his family. One day while driving a nail he hit his thumb. Life suddenly seemed pretty tough. When you feel that way, take a second look-- it may be the grain of sand in your shoe rather than the whole job you are doing It's up to you! As a man handles his troubles during the day, he goes to bed at night a general, a captain, ora private '!
