E LARGE CURRICULUM Mr. Henry S. Paul-English. In discussing a Hemmingway novel Mr. Paul relates one of the characters to a religious figure. l Miss Gloria Wacker-German. Miss Wacker develops her students' abilities in reading and pronouncing German. Mrs. Hazel Snodgrass-Remedial Reading. Mrs. Snodgrass helps students improve and strengthen their reading skills. . if Mr. Kenneth Dierdorf-French. In teaching French, Mr. Dierdorf maintains an interesting, lively atmosphere. This year there were many changes in the English Depart- ment. A variety of semester courses in literature and writing were offered to students in their junior and senior years. The purpose of these changes was to assist in providing a varied background in the English field to the students. 19

These teachersfdirectors encourage students to show their talents to the community through concerts and other activities. Mr. Donald Gingrich-Music, Orchestra, Senior Chorus, Ninth Grade Chorus.
