-..-. Dear Seniors, Your formal education is at or near its end. Those of you who will plunge immediately into the sea of life will hnd yourselves beset by all manner of responsi- bilities. Charles E. Wilson, in a recent issue of THINK magazine, is quoted on this subject as follows: Our great task is to protect and pass on to our descendants the cherished liberties which our fore- fathers protected and handed down to us. Each gen- eration has had its job to do, its battles to win, to keep the torch of liberty burning and to increase its brightness through the years. The task of this genera- tion of Americans, here and now, is to lay a secure foundation for peace and freedom in the world. With unity, with vigor and with unselfishness, that task will be accomplished. How well we have done our job in the schools will be measured, in the ultimate, by how well you do your tasks in life. May success and happiness in life be yours. Yours very sincerely, JOSEPH R. WILSON Supervising Principal Principal's Messages Dear Seniors, You, the members of' the class of 1953, have the exclusive honor of being the first in a long succession of classes to graduate from Kennard-Dale High School. Each class will produce many members who will make their impact upon the community as leaders in politics, farming, trades, business and the professions. I feel that Kennard-Dale High School is fortunate and honored this year in graduating such a fine class. For it is you that have set the high standards that suc- ceeding classes will strive to meet and better. You, individually and as a class, were strangers in a new school environment in September. Through com- plete harmony, hard work, and leadership, you have accomplished an amazing number of projects and you have done them well. You as a class are rich in pleas- ing personalities, in the dignities that are befitting of seniors, and in spirit. Take these qualities with you into your future and your success is assured, and we at Kermard-Dale High will be proud. Yours very sincerely, ELDON S. WEBB Assistant Administrator f Xi'
