H 'I,Y'. f3 , f X V X . ,7 Natalie Knight, Tonya Hodson, Amy DeCastro, Audrey Boyett, Shelly Chitty, Denise Fox, Michele Berentz, Robin Stott, Gretchen Deal, Julie Blair, Coach Mike Papp. Our Girls' basketball team has really worked hard to get things together this year. They lost four key players to injuries or moving out of town. From the beginning of practices to midseason the girls experienced little success. Getting one player back at Christmas time from an ankle injury sparked our team and they won 6 of their last 9 regular season games. The string of wins also landed the girls in the City Series Playoffs for the 14th time in 15 years. Coach Papp takes great pride in the fact that Kenmore's girls are coming on strong after a disasterous beginning. They could have thrown in the towel after an embarrassing loss to North, but they knew that they had not played up to their potential. They then became a source of great pride for the school and the community. Led by seniors Michele Berentz, Julie Blair and Robin Stott the varsity starters relied heavily on each others' strengths and helped camoflogue each other's weaknesses. Junior starter Denise Fox and sophomore forward Audrey Boyett complimented their senior teammates to form a balanced starting unit. When healthy, senior Natalie'Knight would rest a fatigued starter or replace a starter in foul trouble without making the big mistake. All of our varisty girls knew their roles and worked hard to meet the high expectations that Coach Papp had for each one of them. These high expectations and the Kenmore Pride resulted in the best record in the last three years. . . This world is the four years that we all spend at our second home - - - Kenmore High School, four years that match none other in our lives. This is the place hopes, dreams and memories are made. Now the seniors, who are walking out the doors they just walked in four short years ago, pass on to all underclassmen these hopes and dreams that keep Kenmore so alive and strong. - ln closing this book, farewell to the unforgettable class of 1985 and good luck to all classes that follow in our footsteps. 176 fx ly., w .
