IN APPRECIATION After months of hard work, the 1959 Cardinal yearbook is completed. We have truly tried to put out a yearbook worthy of our school. This yearbook is the combined efforts of many people. Its sole pur- pose is to depict life at Kenmore High. Our most sincere thanks to our advisor, Mr. Friedman. His assistance was a source of happiness to all. Mr. Don Leahy of Inter-Collegiate Press de- serves our thanks for his technical advice. Mr. Monroe helped us greatly in various ways. June Kormendy was a wonderful asset in all respects, both as assistant editor and assistant circula- tion manager. She was always there in the clutch. A vote of thanks to Dave Knox who performed admirably in the capacity of feature editor.iWith his assistants, Margie Richardson and Carole McG1inchey, they prepared the senior pages and the countless other pages that are so necessary to the yearbook. We had to have 31,000 in advertisements to run the yearbook. This was the responsibility of Eloise Schneider and her assistant, Becky Essig. Our goal was successfully reached and to Eloise goes a big thanks Perhaps the most tedious job on our staff is that of underclass editor. Jolene Satterfield and her assist- ants, Lois Roberts and Pam Cook, patiently sorted out and stampedhundreds of pictures for the year- book. The tremendous job of photographer was per- formed well by Paul Hayslip. He alone was respon- sible for taking and developing many pictures in the yearbook. His hard work was truly appreciated. Linda Abraham, faculty and art editor, was always busy working. She was a constant source of brilliant new ideas and untiring spirit. To each, an acknow- ledgement of appreciation. Each word in the yearbook was carefully typed by head typist Pat Hudson and her assistant Nancy Droblyen. We extend our appreciation to Sharon Thrash for the fine work she did as club editor. Sharon was assisted by Judy Robertson. We give a hearty thanks to Nancy Arrington for running around with Pat Gates and Tom Tobin, her assistants, following the sports scene all year. To our first freshman member in Special News, Diane Fostyk, we offer our gratitude for a large measure of assistance. ' Our advertisers and patrons should not go un- mentionedg we are humbly grateful. The printing of this yearbook would not have been possible without the efforts and co-operation of our many friends. To them and all the others not specifically mentioned, we say Thanks a million! Your staff has truly enjoyed the chance to work for you and Mr. Friedman. We hope that this book will help you to remember your wonderful aw- Bob Moore Editor-in-Chief days at Kenmore.
