Some o X0 special topics are Good Preservation, The Girl and Her Friends, Good- Grooming, Breakfasts and Luncheons, Clothing Selection and thi! semester the girls spent in sewing dresses for themselves. Most of them were of the spring fashions with all their beauty and color. Booklets were made by the Home Ee. I girls on Better Groo ing. It supplied them with much knowledge on how to become a personality girl looking her best. i The Home Economics II classes enrolled twelve members this year in- cluding seniors and sophmores. During the first semester two-piece dresses and skirts and blouses were made by the girls. Various other subjects were discussed with much benefit to the girls. Many interesting things were taught on Family Relationship which may play an important part in the lives of these girls It will help them to cope with some of the difficulties that will coma from being a good, Homemaker. ' . ' 'This semester the Home Ee. II classes put on an Assembly for the grades and one for the High School on the 'Clean Plate Drive.u It was their duty to bring across the point to clean your plates at every'nea1. This was a nation-wide drive and proved very successful in our school. The last part of the semester has been spent on the different cooki ing and baking techniques. Attempts were tried on ice cream, cookies, cakes, doughnuts, pies, ressets and bread. Samples on the ice cream,pie and doughnuts seemed to be well complimented by the faculty. ' O e big project the girls worked on was a formal tea given in honor of the senior girls. Approximately fifty people attented. some EC. CLUB Our Home Ec. Club this'year consisted ef 38 members with Jeanette Roberg serving as president, Helen Odland, Vice President and Elsie Christensen Secretary-treasu er. we spent the year at various tasks, in helping the school. A Clean Basement Project was started to try to keep our basement in order. Pest ers were installed to remind each of their duty to keep the basement clean. Five mirrors were bought to help the girls get to class on time. The curtains that were used in the gymanasuim for movies were finished and put up. ' . When the school Carnival needed a lunch center, the project was given to the Home Ec. Club, which was carried out very well. 358.90 was realized which proved the success of the Home Ec. girls this year.
