'city EI c-H'1'H emma My kiwi v., 1' The eighth graders have worked hard this year planning their grad uation, their operetta and many items of interest. , At their election of officers Mert Coughlin was chosen president, James Hanson as vice president, Delores Poirier as secretary and Joyce Gehring as treasurer. Miss Imholte is their class advisor. The losers pay is the saying that goes with a very important actf ivity of this year. This activity being, the Who-Can-Buy-The-Most-War Stamps, contest, with opposing teams, The Eagle Squadron and The Bomb- ardiers, The Bombardiers as losers with 3335.20 to their credit, k The Eagle Squadron as winners with 3462.15 to their credit. The losers gave a party for the winners. The class graduated Juno 9th, with their motto being: nSaw a thought, reap an action Saw an action, reap a habit Saw a habit, reap a character Saw a character, reap a destiny.' The class is divided into two groups which have contests for buy' ing War Stamps and Bonds. They are The Bembardiers and the Eagle Squ- adrons. The Bombardier: had the highest total of 3450. The Eagle Squ- adron bought S378 and this made the total of S828 bought altogether in War Bonds and Stamps. During the year the seventh and eighth grades had three parties.
