CLASS HISTORY IContinuedI In the earliest stages of the ascent up the High School Rockies a little slipping back now and then was not particularly serious. On our Senior Peak, however, one slip could be fatal to the whole proiect. Making up time on Senior Peak is almost out of the question, every moment, every step counts. Our guides were willing to give aid where needed, but they made it clear that they expected us to carry our full share of responsibility. Presently, they pointed out, you will be climbing the World Mountains, alone and unaided, and the more you learn to rely on yourselves while we are still with you, the easier it will be for you when you must rely on yourselves alone. Perhaps the most enjoyable task, and one which had a great amount of worry as well as fun at- tached, was a play that our band gave for the entertainment of the other mountain climbers and those who lived along the way, while the great social event of the trip was a lovely banquet prepared for us by a group of fellow-travelers, the Class of I95i. Senior Peak we have successfully scaled and now we stand upon Graduation Rock, peering across the valley for a better view of the World Mountains up which we must now make our respective ways alone. We have conquered the difficult High School Rockies, and we look with pride and satisfaction upon our achievements. A pleasant glow of recollection comes to us as we review the long and happy years spent together, as we struggled side by side, Mountain Climbers of 1950. Melba Jean Pittman. LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT IContinuedI I, Jean Baggett, do will my athletic ability to Sadie Ray Hooks. I, Bobbie Barnes, do will my popularity to Betty Leggett. I, Janyce Bass, do will my dependability to Nelson Edwards. I, Eleanor Dickinson, do will my ability to keep my mouth shut to Marie Jones. I, Grace Durham, do will my friendly ways to Billie Vick and Barbara Jackson. I, Peggy Jean Edwards, do will my size to Earnestine Mozingo, and my singing ability to Garnett Lamm. I, Edith Holland, do will my ability to write sociology themes to any poor sucker who takes it under Mr. Edgerton. ' I, Cleo Jones, do leave my place as youngest in the class to Elmer Pittman. I, Carolyn Killette, do leave my reading ability to George Dixon. I, Elsie Little, do leave my beauty to Mariorie Pittman. I, Georgia Lee Morris, do will my gift of gab to Betty Lou Watson. I, Melba Jean Pittman, do leave my tomboy ways to Pat Corbett. I, Hilda Grey Scott, do will my ability to laugh to Betty Leggett. I, Flonnie Ann Spivey, do will my neatness to Aberdean Jackson. I, Lois Grey Spivey, do will my love for my teachers to Betty Lois Hales. I, Mary Elizabeth Spivey, do will my flirty ways to Polly Richardson and my ability to play basketball to Sandra Strickland. I, Joyce Woodard, do will my wittiness to Elgie Boyette. I, Janyce Winders, do leave my car to anyone who can learn to drive it from my directions. I, Mr. Raymond Snipes, do will my pillow to Marie Jones and Margie Pittman. I, Christine Hooks, do leave my interest in the United States Army to Russia. Seeing that our school lite as Seniors is fast drawing to its close we leave to our dear school of Kenly our love and appreciation for all that has been done for us during these twelve years. Christine Hooks.
