fr X4 . K ,sr .M-s't 'V ' ,tw Ms. Alcott is one of the few pilgrims that has continued teaching at Kendrick. She boarded the Cherokee Staff in 1967 when it was first called Eastside junior High. She commented that she likes everything about Kendrick, but improvements can be made with more semester classes. As librarian, Ms. Alcott is most helpful to students who are in great need of reading material for classroom assignments. Also, she is a successful Business advisor of the Yearbook Staff. 4A,V , Ms. Bass has been teaching English for nine years at Kendrick. She is quite involved in religious, social and civic activities throughout the city. Ms. Bass commented, HI chose the teaching profession because l felt that it was a place where l could render service to mankind and, thereby, be rewarded with satisfaction that l have helped someone. Ms. Bass thinks Kendrick can be improved if students are held responsible for their action or lack of action. Since 1974 she has coached the girls' track team. Ms. Engram commented on the things she likes about Kendrick I can work with the students without feeling pressured by the administration. Also, I have adequate materials to work with and an opportunity to select any student to be my assistant. However, Ms. Engram adds Kendrick can be improved by adding additional classrooms and teachers so that the student-teacher ratio would not be greater than 20-1 in any academic area.
