FOREIGN LANGUAGE! WORLD WIDE INTERESTS FRENCH CLUB In its first year, the French Club has gotten off to a busy start. Led by President Jerry Zehr and sponsor Mrs. Ley, they have had a skating party, a dance, and have gone caroling in French. Their purpose is to increase their interest and knowl- edge of the French language. Muy bien, gracias! SPANISH CLASSES Although there is no Spanish club, the Spanish class has participated in several activities this year. One of these was a Spanish meal held during the noon hour in which each student brought a Spanish dish. The fourth hour Spanish class produced their own movie and held a premier before school and during the noon hour. All in all the Spanish students learned their language and had fun doing it. Eghth hour Spanish class prepares for a Spanish play.

STUDENT COUNCIL: YOUR STUDENT GOVERNMENT H K ' M i B T B ' ' 1 ■ jik ' 2?pK 1 l v A JI H Hh VS j3 9 Q 9R ' .T ' nn CL ROW 1: Peggy Zehr, Vice- President; Kelli Fitzpatrick, President; Judy Shook, Sec- retary-Treasurer. ROW 2: Cindy Durbin, Sandra Zeedyk, Seventh Grade Representatives; Sally Reith, Michelle Purdy, Eighth Grade Representatives. ROW 3: Mr. Shomber, Sponsor. During the 1967-68 school year, the Student Council has sponsored and taken part in many memorable and beneficial events. Among these were the Cupid ' s Capers dance, a bake sale, a skating party, and their community project which was to send packages to boys in Vietnam. They constructed a constitution and worked on a dress code both of which are left to future Student Councils. The council feels that this year they were very well organized and accomplished the goals they set out to achieve. Council works hard to make the dance a success.
