GUYIVION FIELD The lccys ot the Class ct l954 have been fortunate to work with Pop Guymon. Throughout their high school careers they have played on the athletic field which gained recognition on October lS, l953, when it became known as Guymon Field. This was evidence that the boys of former Kl-IS. classes also prized his triendship and good sportsmanship. At the formal dedication, Mayor Andrew Milnar read the following resolution pre- pared by the City Council: 'Whereas certain land owned by the City of Ken- dallville in the southeast part of said city has been improved and made into an athletic tield is iicvi Without a name, it appears appro- priate that this body gave to said athletic tield a promin- ent and l ca s t i ii g name. Whereas, since Mr. G. O. Guvmon licis always ini- parted the lcest cf sports- manship and citizenship to the boys he has worked with and his influence will be telt lor years to cdiriej Be It Novi Resolved by this common council that the athletic field be given the name ol Guymon Field.
