This was a busy twelfth year for the EAGLE. Making headlines in the news all year was our first AFS Exchange student - Debbie EAGLE Barnes. And then there were all our tremendous sports victories to report in soccer, basketball, wrestling and baseball. People in the news included Kevin Hughes, the first Kendall student to make it to the National Merit Finals. Mechanically headlines were improved by a new machine called a strip-printer which Mr. Wadhams got for the print shop. We are one of the fortu- nate-few schools with the facilities and staff to print our own paper. ...74 Editor-in-Chief Kathy Madru Assistant Editor Dianne Wais Managing Editor Roxane Buell News Editor Debbie Crispell Feature Editor Denise Clay Sports Craig Lape, Varsity: Jeanne McFarland, JV Reporters John Cook, Bob Clow, Sue Dunn, Mike Gaesser, Karen Dobbins, Roxanne Buell Layout Dianne Waise, Rich Loope Production Staff Leon Paeth, Mr. Wadhams, Dianne Wais, Robin Webster Typists Connie Colburn Sylvia Lilley Advisors Miss Eldred, Mr. Wadhams, Mrs. Tone 29

I 4 PRESIDENT - Mark Whipple VICE PRESIDENT - Willie Cotton SECRETARY - Rhonda Butler TREASURER - Robin Burchfield ADVISOR - Mr. Rosinski The first activity of the year was a combined recreation and movie night held on October 30th. There was excellent attendance and everyone enjoyed ping-pong, pool, cards and volleyball. Student Council and the FHA worked together and sold refreshments at the home soccer games. We tried something new - we sold cold drinks during study halls: the kids enjoyed the chocolate and orange drinks quite a change from the drinking fountain. We took on a second new project - supporting a boy from Viet- nam. In place of the Newark Drive we planned a Salvation Army Drive. Many thanks to Mr. Rosinski, our new advisor, for all the help this year. 2 1 1 1' 'r MEMBERS TOP ROW: Richard Loope, Ron Bot- ting, Terry Abel, Kathy Dobbins, Mike Gaessar, Mary Gaessar, Wendy Botting.
