The Yearbook Staff has tried to add some new and different ideas. We have put more pictures in it and have made use of poems throughout. We have chosen a light theme of the fun and good times in our school by using Moppets. The Staff hopes every student will find something that he enjoys in this yearbook. So . . . Here's to it And from it And to it again. If ya get to it to do it, And don't do it. You'll never get to it to do it, again. The TROUBADOUR Staff dedicate this year's TROUBADOUR to all the people in our school community - our parents , our friends, our neighbors - You have loyally supported the school by your taxes, your contributions and your time. Without you we students would not have had successful magazine drives, dinners, dances, concerts or plays. You have supported all our sports events and have had a part in making us Number One. We want to thank you - one and all - and hope we will always be deserving of your support. We began our activities as Seniors immediately after accepting the class key in the spring, when we officially became The Senior Class. Our first effort under the direction of Tracey Dragon and Debbie Patt was selling pop at the Kendall Babe Ruth baseball games during the summer. In September we held Kendall's first Dahce Marathon. September 27th began the Magazine Drive, headed by Patti Mowers. The Seniors surpassed their goal of S6 ,000 by over S1,000. December 22nd was truly an evening of ' 'Dreams of Christmas for everyone who attended the Senior Ball. We decided to make its prom the best ever and successfully disguised the gym and commons, turning them into a beautiful, stunning land of Christmas. A special day in the spring was set aside as Senior Day. We presented a very successful assembly and relieved the teachers of their daily teaching tasks. This year, the Seniors were able to obtain such privileges as occasionally eat- ing outside and having an unsupervised Senior Room designated for each period. Everyone handled these privileges with maturity and cooperation and had no trouble keeping them. We also reinstated many activities, such as the Senior bookstore, a Paper Drive, and a Senior Play. However, unlike any previous Senior Play, ours was held at the DeWitt-Clinton, with a buffet dinner, followed by the class's presen- tation of Thurber Carnival. Finally, on June 22nd, we became members of the big world, as we received our diplomas, and our Senior year came to an end. We would like to thank everyone who helped to make our Senior year what it was, especially Mr. Clow and our advisors, Mr. Gerbig, Mr. Hussong, and Mrs. Paine . 23 S Steve McFarland Keith Ketrick Top 5 salesmen of maga- zine drive . We held a donut sale and got a lot of sugary kids and fifty-five dollars profit. Our class day was March 1 , and our dance Draggin the Line featuring TRUCKIN' was March 2. We also held a car wash in the spring. Many kids have worked hard and put forth a lot of effort. Four of them were elected to Student Council: Ira Fair, Jeanne McFarland, Karen Schuler, and Prisilla McClellan. With everyone planning and working hard to make a go of it, it turned out to be a great year! N The Class of 1976 started its Sophomore year with one of several donut sales held throughout the year. The result was a lot of sugary people . Our biggest money making project for the year was our Christmas Film Festival, with Santa Claus, which was held for the Elementary students. We had girls dressed as elves as our publicity stunt. They received many weird looks, but all in all, it was very worthwhile. Next on the agenda was our movie, Kellys' Heroes, a pizza party, and record hop. All in the same night! We Sophomores made the pizza with our own hands, which of course was very exciting and interesting. As long as it was snowing, we had a snow party at Philip Brehse's pond . Skating , sledding, and a bonfire were part of this energetic project. We then had a class week which ended up with a concert we gave along with other organizations the day before Easter Vacation. Last, but not least, we held our dance on May 17 which proved to be quite successful. The class would like to express thanks to everyone who made this a very successful class year. Also , we would like to extend a special thank you to our advisors, Miss Brinkerhoff , Mr. Porter, and Mr. Kent, 'ki' Hu!
