Q' 3 During this their tenth year as a part of the extra-curricular program at Kendall. CC?-4 X the Future Homemakers of America engaged in a number of activities under the supervision of Miss Betsy Steuber, faculty advisor. To direct the program for the year the club elected the following officers: Sheryl Preston - Presidentg Nancy Hawthorne - V ice-Presidentg Ruth Swanger -- Secretaryg Dolores Dusett - Treas- urerg Bonnie Clack - Reporterg and Doris Harvey - Song Leader. At Christmas time the girls made favors for the Brockport Hospital, and 'on january twelfth they took a field trip to Buffalo State Teachers College. Here they toured the classrooms and visited the college's model home. Their guides for the tour were college Freshmen girls who, are majoring in home economics. On April 8 the junior and senior girls waited on tables at thc Future Farmers of America ban- quet. Latcr in the month the boys returned the favor. The girls also took turns selling refreshments at the baseball games and held a successful bake food sale. The Mother and Daughter banquet on April 29 was the social event of thc year for the girls. Upon her arrival each mother was presented with a corsage by her daughter. Following a deliciousdinner the guests were entertained by a variety program put on by the girls.

Frobel, . eaman COMMERCIAL CLUB From the standpoint of business and education now and in the future, the interests of the individual American youth and his service to business are inseparalvlef' Creed of the Future Business Leaders of America The members of the Commercial Club, a chapter of the nation-wide Future Business Leaders of America, have engaged in a number of activities which have enabled the group not only to raise money for the annual trip but also to provide the members with actual business experience in salesmanship, making change, and in keeping records. During the soccer season the club sold refreshments at the home games, and just prior to Christmas the club sold mints and peanut brittlet Both activities proved to be financially profitable enterprises and were aimed at 'achieving the basic purpose of the club - to promote competent and progressive business leadership. In April the club concluded the activities of the year with a field trip to the Rochester Business Institute. Here they took a tour of the school. This proved very interesting to these business majors, many of whom plan to attend the Institute after they graduate from Kendall Central School. This year the activities of the club were directed by Penelope Craupman - President, Ruth Swanger - Vice-President, Iucly Iurhs - Secretary, Beverly Lav- ender - Treasurer, and Miss Irene Eldred - Faculty Advisor.-

John Ruskin The Kendall Chapter of the Future Farmers of America organized officially for the year by electing these officers: President, Charles Boltong Vice-President, George Heidemanng Secretary, Alfred Bruceg Treasurer, Charles Rathg Reporter, Norman I-lughesg and Sentinel, Kenneth Swanger. Mr. William Diedrich is faculty advisor. Four members of the Kendall Chapter represented the Niagara-Orleans County F. F. A. group in judging contests at the New York State Fair at Syracuse: George Morey who was a member of the vegetable crops judging team, George I-leidemann who was a member of the field and forage crops teamg Alfred Bruce and Charles Bolton who comprised the poultry judging team. During this year George Heidemann served as Vice-President of the Niagara- Orleans County F. F. A. group. Alfred Bruce and Charles Bolton were the delegates from the local chapter to the County group meetings. Refreshment sales from home basketball games brought in revenue which enabled the members to hold the annual Father and Son Banquet, to attend a Cornell football game and a Rochester American hockey game, and to join the Future Home- makers of America for their annual picnic. As a result of much practice in the correct use of parliamentary procedure in meetings, the officers and four members of the Kendall Chapter won the Bi-County Chapter Meeting Contest, thereby becoming eligible to compete in the District Contest. Following this contest the boys demonstrated their skill at a Grange Neigh- bor's Night at Gaines and at an assembly program for the Kendall high school. Alsoithis year George I-leidemann and Alfred Bruce had outstanding programs of supervised farming which enabled them to apply for the degree of Empire Farmer, the highest F. F. A. degree in the state. 4
