We completed the first undefeated season in the history of our school to win the Genesee-Orleans B C DH League Championship. This qualified us for the class C semi-final playoffs in which we defeated Red Creek in a double overtime game by a score of 5-4. Then we met and defeated Rushford, the 1953 champions, 1-O in the finals at Geneseo, and brought home the New York State Shields, the sectional trophy, and the Section V class C Championship which is the highest honor in the state. Warren Snyder took high scoring honors for the second year with 16 points, followed by Kenneth Furness with 8 points. ' ' SCORES OF TI-IE-1w954 SEASON Kendall .... ..... Such a program develops sportsman- ship, team-play, cooperation, and interest in sports on the part of those students who are not able to participate in varsity sports. This year the girls played soccer, basket- ball, volley ball, recreational sports, and baseball. The program for the boys included football, soccer, basketball, recreational sports, volleyball, and baseball. During the year the C. A. A. participated in several sports days with area schools, and on June 3rd the members took their annual camping trip to Huntington Memorial Beach. C. A. A. oHicers include the following: President Nancy Johnston, Secretary Dorothy Heidemann, and Treasurer Betty Mills. , This year Miss Willis and Coach Beaney have been helped in their supervision of the lower grade gym classes by members of the C. A. A. and the newly formed Leaders Club. These groups will also assist with the grade and high school field days. LEADERS CLUB M. Thompson Second Row: M. Schultz, C. Hardenbrock, G. Heidemonn, S.
