Y Q1 Published by THE STUDENT COUNCIL of KENDALL CENTRAL SCHOOL Kendall, New York FOREWORD VVitl1 a weak and non-progressive agriculture the ivlieels of industry would slowly cease to turn and America would quickly deteriorate to the ranks of a second rate nation as have other nations who forgot that tlie future is founded on farming. - PROP. Emo SHARVILLE, Purdue University Here in Kendall we live in a rural community, and many of our people earn their living from farming. Those of us not directly dependent upon farming for our liveli- hood recognize the basic importance of agriculture to our way of life. The fundamental skills, knowledge, and habits of industry which make a successful farmer are also neces- sary for success in all occupational fields from housewife to industrialist. Through the use of art work and appropriate quotations from the speeches and writings of prominent men of all ages, we have tried to emphasize the importance of agriculture to each and everyone of us.
