I9 Kemptona Semor Class Hlstory As you looked down the corrldor m September 1953 you saw twenty three frlghtened but eager Freshmen comlng up the ramp to start thelr hlgh school career One of thelr flrst experlences m school 3CtlV1t16S was 1n1t1at1on whlch everyone enjoyed tremendously The offlcers elect ed for the year were Jack Bergan Presldent Robert Wagner V1ce PTBSI dent Carolyn Lydlgsen Secretary and Barbara Fellers Treasurer Dur mg the year they had many proJects to ra1se money At the Wlnter Carnlval they had two booths and a clock raffle They also had conces SIOHS at the Freshman Sophomore Tournament and sold magazlnes durmg' the annual magamne sales drlve Many members ln the class Jolned chorus and took part 1n the clubs For the year of 1954 the class elected Frleda Tumble for Presldent James Eggenberger for V106 Presldent Carl Johnson for Secretary and In December for the Wlnter Carnlval they had two booths and raffled off a deep fryer The magazlne sales was also another project ln Whlch everyone partlclpated In Aprll everyone was thrllled because lt was tlme to order class rmgs In September 1955 the class of twenty three members had de creased to slxteen members Bemg upper classmen now they had plenty of work to do and plenty of money to make before they could go on the Senlor Trlp next year Class offlcers elected that year were Gerald Legan Presldent James Eggenberger Vlce Presldent Truman Sadler Secretary and Nancy Schatroth Treasurer The class started off the year by partlclpatmg ln the magazme sales presentxng the J unlor Play Battle For B111 and takmg part ln the Wlnter Carnlval In the sprlng everyone was busy maklng plans and workmg on the Jumor Prom For the theme of the Prom the class chose Stardust In the fall of 1956 the class had a total of elghteen members To start the year off they elected class offlcers The offxcers elected were Gerald Legan Presxdent James Eggenberger Vlce Presldent Carolyn Lydlgsen Secretary and Rhonda Webster Treasurer Smce everyone was anxlously Waltlflg for the tr1p everyone got to work to help ralse the money that was necessary to go Among thelr many proJects to ralse money were a turkey raffle magazlne sales two work days a paper dr1ve Homecommg Dance and a Valentlne Dance On May 29 1957 thelr four years of studylng came to an end for th1s was Graduatlon Day Everyone IS anxlous for the trlp to Washmg ton D C and New York Clty to start u . .
