Kemplona Senior Class Prophecy Time travels on and we find it IS the summer of 1967 Mr and Mrs Trimble having retlred as Superintendent and Secretary of Kempton High School in 1961 are now l1v1ng in New York They decide to take a trlg through the Un1ted States to see how the Kempton High Class of 57 IS omg Driving to Florida for the flrst stop they arrive at St Augustine to eat at Sadlers Glant Seashore Restaurant owned by Sam Sadler former member of the class They read a newspaper w1th headlines Rhonda Webster Appomted Head Teacher At The School For The Blind and Deaf V1Slt1Dg her she tells them Gerald Legan is the famed Geralda Legana the chiropractor Leavlng Rhonda to go to THE ROYAL PALM the largest and newest motel 1n the Unlted States owned by Bob Wagner they find that Judy Wagner and Frieda Trimble have finally gotten to V1Slt Judy s r1ch relative before leaving for Hawall They are lntervlewmg him for a write up 1n the Travel magazine After a weeks Driving through Texas enjoying the scenery they stop at the C J Ranch Who comes r1d1ng up on a horse to greet them but Carl Johnson He is strictly cowboy spurs and all He tells them that another member of the Class of 57 lives in Texas She IS the former Linda Allen who is now married to a successful oilman Later leaving Carl s they start for California At San Diego they v1s1t James Loxas the Admiral of the sub THE CLIPPER He tells them he Just became a grandfather and h1s daughter s doctor is Joan Sargeant She has come a long way since hlgh school when she only wanted to be a nurse They decide they should be heading eastward to v1s1t Illinois Stopping in Colorado to tour the Grand Canyon they meet Nev1l Ram waters He now lives in Colorado and makes his living by operating a trading post After the tour they leave for Ill1no1s Arrlvlng at Champaign they are curious to find out if Nancy Schafroth IS st1ll with the Julia F Burham Hospital To their great surprise she tells them she is the head nurse there They V1S1t until Nancy had to go on duty then leave for Kempton The old school looks familiar and upon entermg lt they are taken around by the secretary Barbara Fellers They ask if any other member of her class is still around Kempton She tells them that Jack Bergan has been quite successful 1n farmmg east of town He has Just bought eighty acres to complete his owning two sections of farm land He IS still a bach elor Barbara tells them some of her former classmates l1ve ln Chicago including her cousm the m1ll1ona1re James Eggenberger who has Just re turned from a six weeks vacation in England with his wife and two ch1l dren He IS the owner of the bookkeeping machme factory Arrivlng at J1m s office they find his charming secretary IS Carolyn Lydlgsen Carolyn says Jim Ahern IS a famous englneer constructlng brldges and bulldmgs Reallzmg that they have elther seen or heard of all the members of the Class of 57 Mr and Mrs Trimble leave for home The tr1p was very enjoyable and qulte satisfactory for each class member has proved to be quite a success I9 330 .......... g 3 . . . 33 g.gg.gg.gg.g . ........... 33 5 7 , . . . . , K6 7 ' Y! 7 . .
