Phgslcul Science Our phy sical SCIQHCG department this wear was divided among three different teachers Mr Cunningham who taught general sclencc Mr Lewis who taught biology and Mr Trimble who taught chemistix The general science course IS just what one would think a brief studv of various types of sciences The Freshmen in this course studied a little of phx sics ento mology phvsiology biology chemlstrv and bacteriology studied Wild llfe In biology the Sophomores undertook the study of the basic characteristlcs of all l1v1ng things The inter relationship among plants anlmals and humans was sx stematically studied and they too went on several field trips Chemistry has been added to our curriculum this yeai because of the lmportant part it plavs in our modern wax of l1fe The Senior and Junior students who took this course learned the fundamental lmportance of chemlcal change in the transition of substances from one form to another and gained an understanding of the chemical nature of substances The purpose of this course 1S to give the students a basic organized knowledge of technical language formulae and laboratory techniques Wlth the hope that they will go on and a1d advanced work in the field of chemlstry ' u f . .1 ' .
