Semox Prophecy Arrlvxng at the alrport ln Chlna Mr Tr1mble dlscovered that he would have to rlde 1n a rlckshaw to the hotel All durlng the rlde to the hotel Mr Tr1mble was very pleasantly entertalned by the rlckshaw boy who sang all the current Amerlcan song hlts to h1m VV1sh1ng to compll ment the boy Mr Tr1mble asked the bov to step back for a moment XX hen he dld both of them wer surprlsed because the rlckshaw boy was Don Juergens Bemg lnterested ln dlfferent schools Mr Tr1mble declded to v1s1t one of the blggest ones ln Japan where he dlscovered that one of the teachers was Ph1ll1p Hughes who was teachlng the Japanese glrls to laugh at Amerlcan Jokes Slnce Mr Tr1mble was from a farmlng communlty he was very much lnterested 1n observlng farm l1fe He vlslted a kangaroo farm ln J ump1nv1l1e Austral1a and was surprlsed to flnd that Larrv Gardner was the proud owner of the farm Larry explalned that he speclallzed ln kangaroos Wlth back pockets Next on the agenda for Mr Tr1mble was the safau through AfT1C3 Immedlately upon hls a1r1val ln Afrlca he hlred a gulde who was Dlck Allen Thev netted three gorlllas so Mr Tr1mble declded that D1ck1e was an efflclent gulcle SIHCG he had planned nothlng deflnlte for h1s Journey through South Amerlca he declded to v1s1t a coffee beanery Havlng been a chemlstrv teacher he was espec1ally mterested 1n seelng the lab where the head qCl9Ht1Qt was B111 Johnson Mr Tr1mble was relleved to know that B111 was puttlng h1s sklll to a better use than he had when he had been a chemlstry student IH hlgh school Honolulu was the next clty of Mr Tr1mble s trxp On h1s w ay there he declded to l arn to dance the hula Hls hula teacher was a tall sun tanned woman whom he hardly recogmzed as Joan Weaver He then left the warmth of the H3W3113H Islands and went to the cold shores of Alaska where the1e was curl ently bemg featured a new clrcus act polar bears that danced the Charleston Mr Tr1mble suspected who thelr + ex 611+ b r b for he 'lf' + h rlg 'f 1 a She r, Malone On the last lap of Mr Tr1mble s world Wlde Journey a storm blew up so the co p1lot of h1S plane came back to see that everythlng was al rlght Mr Trlmble had heard the stewardess talk about Sm1l1n Ed but he dldn t for a second connect the rame wlfh Ed Swearlngen who was the co pllot Ed told h1m that Don Blllerbeck was the other pllot of the plane The three of them were qulte shocked to thmk that they had traveled all around the world 1n the same plane wlthout reallzmg It Mr Trxmble was glad to be back home from hls world travels but he vowed that he would always remember the trlp and the members of the Senlor class all of whom he had seen m many dlfferent places dolng many dlfferent thlngs but all of whom he was very proud 1 - , , ' , . - c - Y . , l , - ' 7 , . Senior Proplzecq It IS June 1985 and the place is New York City where a benign looklng man with a white crew cut IS ready to board a Jet a1r l1ner The stewardess checking his ticket found that he was taking a trip around the world and h1s name IS Mr H A Trlmble the former Principal of Kempton High School She introduced herself as Marlene Sadler a mem ber of the Senior class wh1ch he sponsored IH 1954 At flrst he didn t recognize Marlene he decided it was her dark hair that had changed her so much Because there were many people Waltlllg' to board the plane he went to his seat saying that he would talk to her later Mr Trimble s first stop was in England at the Sea Shore Resort where he spent two lovely days ln splte of hlS falling and cutting his leg on a rock lt was nothing serious but he decided he d better have some disinfectant put on it He recognized the nurse at the first aid cottage She was Donna Hummel Donna was not so busy as Marlene had been so she had more tlme to V1Slt She told Mr Trimble that the blgg6St moment of her life had been when Queen Elizabeth had been convalescing there and she had been the nurse asslgned to the Queen Mr Trimble really looked forward to the next stop of his world wide excursion gay Par ee While there he decided to go shopping to buy a dz ess for his wife He went into the Paris Cloak dress shop Many of the dresses which the models wore were beautiful but he liked the dress worn by the red headed model best He asked her to step closer so that he might get a better look at the dress To h1s utter amazement the model was none other than Agnes Flynn now uslng the name of for the owner Monsieur Stevens a red bearded man wearing a black beret to step over Much to Mr Trimble s surprlse this was Charles Stevens another member of the 1954 graduating class Leaving the famous city of PBFIS Mr Trimble journeyed on to Rome While sight seeing 1n this h1stor1c city a poster advertising a coming concert caught his eye Studying it closer he found that Miss Patsy Sadler was the featured p1an1st Mr Trimble immediately decided to attend the concert Afterward he went behind stage to talk to Patsy Lo and behold' In her dressing room he found Ber nard Cassidy who was stvllng her hair The famed city of Istanbul was the next stop where there was a 5 hour delay 1n the route Having heard so much about the famed Turkish Baths of Istanbul Mr Trimble decided to take one As he was entering the bath house he met a hefty 300 pounder Don McG1nn1s who was going to another steam bath During their conversatlon Don told him that he was trying many different procedures to gain back his old high school weight After his steam bath Mr Trimble boarded h1s plane and headed for Calcutta where he began to think of his son in law who was stationed 1n the Marme Corps there He was to spend the week end with him In Calcutta he was met by the young man and they went on to the camp His son 1n law told him there was a show on the base that evening 1n whlch an American girl was featured She turned out to be LOIS Scha froth famed blues slnger from the United States Bidding' his son in law good bye Mr Trlmble boarded the plane for Chlna CCont1nuedJ l I , . . . i . . h . , . . Senlor Hlsforg Just before graduatlon Senlors look back not only on then' last year but on all four years of progress and actlvlty through thelr hlgh school l1fe Whlch began as an exhuberant class of Freshmen IH 1950 under the leadershlp of Presldent Phllllp Hughes Vlce Presldent Bernle Lassldy Secretary Sherry Malone and our sponsor Mrs McCoughy lhat year we gave an all school square dance helped vuth the Chllll supper and struggled through the 1n1t1at1on of our class By the second year everyone felt more comfortable to know that he had rlsen to the status of Sophomore When It came tlme to elect class offlcers Larry Gardner was chosen as Presldent Donna Hummel as Vlce Presldent and Patsy Sadler as Reporter Mr Moore our sponsor gulded us through the Ifreshman 1n1t1at1on party paper and scrap dr1ve and our other partles The follow1ng September th1S group could boast Upperclassmen at last Y It was a busy year though w1th more dlffxcult subjects many SOCIHI events and the ChOOSlHg of class rlngs The Junlor class OEICEPS Secretary B111 Johnson Treasurer and Donna Hummel Reporter led the vvay for the commlttees of the long antlclpated Junlor Prom In the fall the cast of the J unlor play presented Just Ducky Th1s year the Semor class has d111gently selected cards announce ments Semor plctures and planned a Semor trxp to Washlngton D C and New York under the supervlslon of Mr Tr1mble The followlng were chosen for leadershlp Don RICGIHHIS as Presldent Ed Swearlngen as V109 Presldent Shelly Malone as Secretary Donna Hummel as Treasurer and Joan Weaver as Reporter They are ready for graduatlon after galnlng knowledge of books and people ln four hxgh school years The class of 1954 now IS ready to begln putt1ng th1s knowledge to use For some graduatlon means the end of school days They w1ll take thelr place 1n the buslness world become homemakers or enter a chosen professlon For others It means a step toward more study more pleasant memorles ln school Whatever else 1tS meanmg each graduate vslll look back on the many happy act1v1t1es that he has earned the pr1v1l ege of sharlng Wlth classmates these four years. . . , . . , . , n 1 n o u f a 9 2 ' 9 ' ' . 7 W , - 1 'X 7 7 !
