LOWER LEFT: On March 10, 11, the annual Soph- Frosh Tourney was held in our Gym. The teams par- ticipating in the Tourney were Saunemin, Cullom, Piper, and Kempton. Time after time with odds against them the boys cheerfully went back into the games and fought to the end. Since Dick Essington had to quit playing because of an injury, some of the more versatile sophomore players finished the season in his place. Seniors Don Warrnbir and Paul Fenton will not be back next year, but Coach Clark will have veterans Phillip Hughes and Don McGinnis as a nucleus around which to build his fall team. The band marched in the Memorial Day parade in Kempton and in the Ha11owe'en parades in Kempton and Cabery. At several of the basketball games it fur- nished amusement for the spectators with various stunts. The three principal public appearances of the band were at the Spring Concert, at the Christmas pro- gram, and at the Ford County Music Festival at Gibson City -- Paul Yoder conducting.
