SENIOR CLASS HISTORY The Senior Class of 1941 is about to bid farewell to Kempton High School. As commencement approaches our thoughts turn back to that day in September, 1957, when thirteen Freshmen wandered forlornly about the building that was to be our home for the next four years, We elected the class officers as followsr- Pres- ident, Lloyd Earingg Vice-President, Betty Eggenbergerg Secretary, Leota DeMoure3 Treasurer Leon Olsen. The class sponsor was Mr. Blubaum, We were determined to set high standards in scholarship, athletics, and music. Whether we have succeeded, the records will have to show, The feature event of the year was our'Initiation which we had anticipated so fearfully, When we resumed our studies in the fall of 1958 we had lost Alvin Masching, Delbert Holm, and Leota DeMoureQ But Raymond Schildt had joined our forces, Our class officers that year wereg Betty Eggenberger, Presidentg Wanda Nelson Vice Presidentg Eileen Foley, Secretary and ' Treasurer. Our Class sponsor was Mr, Farnsworth. This time it was our turn to play host at the Initiation Party. Remembering our own experience last year we tried not to be too hard on them. When we were summoned back in the fall of l959 our ranks had been increased by the'addit- ion of Paticia Cloonen,' Ima Jean Snyder, Helen Frantz, and Louis Unfer, Jr., but we had lost leslie Howard, Our class officers wereg Pres- ident, Wanda Nelsong Vice President, Louis Un- fer Jr.3 Secretary, Eileen Foleyg and Treas- urer, Patricia Cloonen. Our Junior Play and Banquet given by the Seniors occupied many hapQ py moments.

Now our time is drawing to a'closeQ Edna Bailey was forced to withdraw, but Maurice Fenton and Joe Fraher swelled our number, The Class officers are:President Joe Fraherg Vice President, Leon Olsong Secretary, Louis Unfer Jr,g Treasurer, Maurice Fentonu The Senior Play, our Banquet, Bacca- laureate, and Commencement have made'our days busy oness For our Class Colors, we have chosen, Purple and Goldg our Class Flower, the Gardeniag and the Class Motto W Today we follow, Tomorrow we lead. N It is our fervent hope that we can fulfill not only our motto, but all that is expected of us.
