' ,' if if 5 f The freshmen started the year by being the first class of the last four years to have their lockers in the junior high instead of the senior high school. This situation gave us a chance to become used to the Kemmerer high little by little, instead of put- ting us in a completely new wonderland. It also gave us the chance to be the superiors to the two lower junior high grades and have the student body president of Kemmerer junior high chosen from our class. Vern Hansen was chosen president for the first half of the school year and for the second half, Joe Kalister had the honor of being president. This was a student council for the junior high only. We had very few parties, but they were greatly enjoyed. Class officers were: First Semester: Second Semester: President-Stewart Orgill. President-Lucille Mrazek. Vice President-Benjie McPhie. Vice PresidentgMaurice Roberts. Secretary-Treasurer-Sherman Roberts. Secretary-Treasurer-.leanne Beutler. Representatives-Willard Chipp and Representatives-Joyce Koci and Joe Kalister. Joe Deromedis. EIGHTH GRADE CLASS HISTORY The peppy eighth grade class started off into full swing with a Hallowe'en party held in the fall month of October. The first Saturday in April, the eighth grade girls from their sponsor, Mr. Pratt's history class, sponsored a very successful Leap Year dance for the junior high students and sponsors. lt was decided twithout the consent of the student council? for the girls of the eighth grade class each year to sponsor a dance the first Saturday in April The last and final dancing party was held in April at the Legion hall with a large attendance The eighth graders being freshmen next fall will diligently deter mine to become one of the more prnileged classes in high school They are a swell bunch of kids going out after what they want thus proving they will do even more ln their high school years yet to come Best of luck in everything you undertake Their class officers were First Semester Second Semester President Raymond Martin President-Carla Schow Vice President-Jerry Daneluke Vice President Shirley Ellsworth Secretary Dona Rae Rasmussen Secretary Treasurer Teddy Wright Treasurer-Carla Schow SEVENTH GRADE CLASS HISTORY The seventh grade pupils were met with a new and different style of classes than they had been confronted with in their earlier grades Many wide eyed expres sions were on the faces of the pupils upon finding the elimination of recesses which they had enjoyed in the lower grades In February the pupils gave a bake sale to raise money for a dance which was given the first of April The dance sponsored by Miss Cox, was their first date dance of the year .ff f' '--.A 5 5 3 We-vt...-s.
