KELVYN PARK CFFERS YCJU THE KEY TO CDNG N HL CQMPHNI NSHIP Without friends no one would choose to live even if he had all other goods. -Aristotle In and around Kelvyn's halls we have enioyed good fellowship, have shared our studies and our fun. Among many acquaintances, each of us has found some who are his equals, whose compan- ionship he enjoys, in whom he can conhde and whom he trusts. These few he cherishes as his friends. In the formative years of youth we can make friendships that will endure. As our own personalities are being formed we ind those who are most congenial to us, and we grasp the mean- ing of true friendship, a mature understanding of another human soul.

This was a familiar cry in Kelyyrrs halls when the P,rl',A,. held its monthly tallly apple sale. This year KP. students consumed a grand total of 3,727 apples. The Association conducted tours of liurny Brothers Bakery and the Borden Dairy, organized a small bazaar and the sale of KP. booster buttons: in October they sponsored Turn Back The Clock, a play ofthe roaring 2O's: in Novem- ber in connection with Education Week, they held a bake and apron sale: in lVlay they presented a fashion show at Kelvyn Park Fieldhouse with KP. students modeling. All these activities provided funds for drapes for our library. and for all we thank our l3.rl'.A. mothers most heartily. 'l'hey did not neglect social considerations either. In Ianuary they gave an elaborate tea for the freshman mothers. They helped serve members of the Du Sable Glee Club after the well remembered Brotherhood Assembly: and with the eo-operation of the Student Council they held a clothing drive for the youth of lVlonteliore. All in all the P.T.A., had a very successful year. Page 21 :J
