Nr Kuen Blevins — .This blonde bomb¬ shell adds sparkle to Cell 31. Karen can be seen wand¬ ering the halls from 9 to 4. Interests range from boys to trumpets to boys. Int. Rm. V.B., T. F., Bowling. Jerry Dawson — Hi and Lo notes are popular with 31’s Col. Fairfax. He’s the only yes-man with naturally curly hair!! Ambition: to understudy Marie Callas. Jim Geekie — Jim was one of the main stars of our four - man hockey team. He can al¬ ways be counted on for a joke. Jim is a hard worker who is sure to be a success. John Johnson — When not thinking of trouble he’s thinking of an ex¬ cuse for not having his homework done. John provides the room with many laughs. Soc. 1, 2, Rugby 2. Drummond Brown — Drummond has several interests in¬ cluding sports and M i n a k i reunions. Our capable Social Rep. is responsible for all the wild parties of 31. Int. Rm. B.B., Hoc. T. F. t Operetta 2, Bowl. Bill Dolt — Bill is 31’s curling champ¬ ion and has brought great recognition for us. He’s trying to make up his mind whether to stay in school or take up ping-pong. Harry Haid — “Sweater Boy” of Rm. 31 who is math¬ ematically minded — always ready to discuss figures. Seems to have won his History teacher’s heart. Student Council 2, Curl. 2 Bowl. 2. Murray Kirk — “Twigley” finds girls more stimulat¬ ing than school- work. Murray Mouse bares a strange resemblance to Napoleon. It seems he’s slap- happy every week¬ end. Bob Bruce — A favorite of his Eng¬ lish teacher. This clown figures there are better things to waste his time on than sitting from 9 to 4 in a school room. Bill Eden — Bill seems to be a per¬ manent fixture in Room 31. His main ambition is to get out of Grade 11 and into the business world. Good luck. Bill. Rugby 2, Int. Rm. Sports, Soc. 2, Bowling 2. Ken Harrioit — If there’s trouble, you’ll find Ken. He has two goals in mind: to get the keys to the Cadillac and to get Pete off his back. Paul Kohlmeier — Our Et Cetra Rep. is the idol of the girls with his beau¬ tiful red hair. Paul is Johnson’s able partner in crime. Fate — husband of a zombie. Pal Cheyne — Patsy has one main in¬ terest in eye. Name¬ ly a doll, Bob, and a car, Caddy. Fu¬ ture—raising “Boy- son Barrys.” V.P. 3, V.B. 12, Ref. 2, Int. R m . Sports, Bowl. 1, 2, 3, T. F. 1, 2. Wolfgang Falkson— New to Kelvin, “Wolf - Fox’s loud manners make him a great menace to teachers. He is easy to get along with and the gals are wild about his “dreamy accent”. T. F. 2, V.B. 2. t Dona Heywood — This blonde blue¬ eyed bundle of en¬ ergy comes to us from Churchill.This gal has been to more schools than most. Good luck in the future, Dona. Glee Club 2, T. Sc F. 2. Barbara Limmert— Never a dull mo¬ ment when Barb’s around. Our librar¬ ian is one of the bright lights in Cell 31. One of the few in the class w ho’s on the good side of Miss D. Barrie Daniels — One of Room 31’s men of mystery can usually be seen in the midst of Karen and Pat’s chatter. Ambition: to own a hot rod. Probable destination — Chaf- feur. Marlin Forbes — This guy is a real fish, in water, that is. After Grade 12 he plans to take Chemistry at the campus. Best of luck in the future, Martin. Lenore Hill —Anoth¬ er small package with blonde curly hair, Lenore never stops talking unless she swallows her gum. A real popu¬ lar member of 31. Jim McClemenls — The dark - haired sports fiend who al¬ ways argues. Main ambition is to pass French despite his position in the middle of female surroundings. John Davidson — John is called 31’s Personality Kid. Modest John’s motto is “I used to be conceited, now I’m perfect.” Ambition: to dethrone Mitch Millar. Bryon Gale — “The Leader”never seems to get into trouble in school except in history. Bryon’s favorite saying — “What’s your trouble Jank- iwicz?” Jerry Jankiewicz — This lad. whose main interest lies in operating the Public Address System, is a bright light in 31. He can usually be found smelling. Ev¬ erybody likes Jerry, even some of the teachers. Lorna McFarland— Lorna left us at the beginning of Octob¬ er for the business world. Graham Simpson — “Fabe” is the Q.B. of the Champion Clippers and our class President. He stands “Pat” on his decision to stay awake in Miss Mc¬ Kay’s classes. Rug. 1, 2, B.B. 1. Ian MacDonald — A new-comer to Kel¬ vin from the West, Ian seems to have lost no time becom¬ ing a true member of Room 30. Poor kid — he’s doomed. Klaus Spiiz — A quiet type. His motto must be — it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Sally Zachanowich — “Zack,” how did you break your col¬ lar bone? A future rugby player, may¬ be? Ambition: To get up to A in Eng¬ lish. T. F. 1. M The Gas Chamber i- Allan Anderson — A1 is everyone’s friend and can be counted on for a laugh a day. His main ambition is to get on the good side of Miss D. Rick Lord — “Have you got change for a Hern?” Rick is the leader of the “Terrible Trio” and a favourite of Miss Redmond. Marj Pearl — Does she or doesn’t she? Only her hairdress¬ er knows for sure. “Pert” and popular. V.B. 1, 2, B.B. 1, 2, T. F. 1, 2, Bad. 2, Bowl. 2. Barb Mackay — Speech is silver but silence is golden. Barb seems like the original “Golden Girl” in class but you haven’t heard that giggle. Bowl. 2, Bad. 1. Herb Robertson — Right now you’re probably asking yourself “Why does our V. P. have two names?’’ Who knows — It’s just one of life’s many mysteries. B.B. 1, 2, Soc. 1. Don Thompson — This boy sings like a bird — a crow? Really though he has a musical voice and according to Miss Mackay he even sings when he’s answering her. Optt. 1, 2. Jane Sellwood — Jane can usually be seen dashing out of Maths class to take a pill? This blonde (she doesn’t) bomb¬ shell is our dyna¬ mic ticket rep. Janice Tolton — “Pass the pretzels and have another peanut butter and honey sandwich, Graham,” — or how to make History more interesting. Room 30’s singing grocer—“You guys, I’m hungry.” Optt. 1, 2. Choirs 1, 2. Don Parks —A con¬ stant threat to the sanity of Mr. Gresh¬ am, but then, Don’s questions are enough to drive anybody up a wall. Rug. 1, 2, Oppt. 1, 2 . Barry Silversides — “Silvo,” our rosy- cheeked runner. He is one of the star members of the “Terrible Trio.” Linda Vinceni — Beautiful, brilliant, witty, popular — If you don’t recognize me from this write¬ up, it’s because I wrote it myself and I’m a bit prejudic¬ ed. Pete McIntyre — “Cyclone Pete” creates a storm while driving his black beetle, trying to hit anybody who crosses his path. Averages 70 M.P.H. Rugby 2. John Purkess — One of the most studi¬ ous characters of 31, John is so quiet at times one may suspect that he had set a record. John is a blessing to all his teachers and un¬ doubtedly will go places. Barry Berman — A typical immigrant from Grant Park, Barry is one of the few of the Room 32 crew who stay awake in class. Barry C o n d i e — Barry is one of the quieter boys of Rm. 32. His ambition: to sell donuts. He has been voted Room 32’s most likely to succeed in the field of selling. Heather McKelvie— This wingy chick is a lot of laughs. It seems she lost something at Vic¬ toria Beach because she keeps wanting to go back. B.B. 1, Int. Rm. Sports, Bowl. 2, T. F. 1,2. Rhonda Rykiss — One of our dizzy brunettes (or is it red-heads). A spark plug among dead fuses, Rhonda firm¬ ly believes in week¬ ends which extend to the middle of the week. Yr. bk. 2, Et Ct. 2. Int. Rm. Sports. Bruce Berven — Bruce is every teacher’s pet (peeve). His ambi¬ tion: to do more and more work with less and less effort. Unfortunately “Tig¬ er” doesn’t quite have his system perfected. Ian Delaney — Ian works just as hard in class as anyone else; but that isn’t very hard. His greatest ambition: to become ambiti¬ ous. Lynda McQuesten— Petite Lynda is rarely heard from in school. At home she spends her time on top of refriger¬ ators assisted by a certain attraction in Room 35. Susan Shatsky — A real cute kid, strict¬ ly from “Funsville.” Keeps a guy hidden away in Milwaukee. This chick digs the Kingston Trio, can¬ dy, boys, and stags. Curl. 2, Bowl. 2. Dave Blandford — Dave is one of the bowling sharks of the room. He hopes that, with luck, he will be able to leave Mr. Burns classes behind by 1964. Allan Dyker — The class is chipping in to buy Allan a life¬ jacket to keep him from drowning in all the water he spills in lab periods. Bob Millman — Bob rushes out at noon and four to meet a girl from 24. Am¬ bition: to keep the drive-ins open all winter. Int. Room Sports, T. F., Soc. 1 , 2 . Norman Smith — One of the quieter students of 31, Nor¬ man finds hydro planes fascinating. Seems to have just a little trouble with his car. Int. Rm. Sports, Soc. 2. Roger Buie— “Rog” came from Saskat¬ chewan to raise Kelvin spirits. He is always ready with the answers. (Not the right ones, of course.) Wayne English — “Schmig” helps the humour of the class along with his many comments from the back of the room. A new interest in Room 40 has devel¬ oped. Plans to take up basket-weaving David Pesochin — Mr. “Cha Cha” of Room 31 is noted for his sharp Pari- s i e n convertible which is always full of the girls from the “Car Club.”- When David puts the top down he never seems to get home. Delberi V o p n i — Del is one of the biggest jokers in the school, being responsible for most of the rumpus in Room 31. Del par¬ ticipates in sports and is also a staunch advocate of freedom of speech. Leslie Bursten — “Les” is one of our stalwart French¬ men, who fails to see why he must be taught French at all. Bud Gardner — Harry is a member of the fabulous trophy winning Clippers. His pet peeve is school work; it cuts into his sports activities. Rugby 2, B.B. 1, 2. Ken Plews — “Toots,” who is a potential pilot has recently become in¬ terested in girls. This is possibly the reason for his new interest in French class. Opett. 1, 2, Soc. 1, 2., Int. Rm. Sports. The Bachelor’s Penthouse Reid Cinnamon — Reid is our soft- spoken fund raising Red Cross Rep. He can be seen going to football games in a car full of . . . wait, Reid! A. K e i 1 h Ga rbutl — Keith is a typical Kelvinite, for he feels that the school should be kept a little warmer. Heat makes for better sleeping. 73
