'26 ewfzedgna TradiTions filled fall Fridays wiTh all diTferenT kinds of exciTemenT. Fri- day fooTball fever reigned as The mosT imporTanT of These TradiTions. The nervousness of The Team and enThusiasm of The homeTown crowd made This day Truly special. The days began wiTh everyone arriving aT school dressed in Tradi- Tional fashions. Cheerleaders wore Their uniforms, The Team puT on blazers and Ties, and even Teach- ers goT inTo The acT wearing blue and gold and some even wearing plaid Ties. i'You could Tell iT was Friday jusT arriving aT school. The spiriT of The pasT fooTball Teams filled The halls. IT gave us a real sense ofa winning TrodiTion, sTaTed Deanne Crayne, senior class presidenT. As The day came To an end, sTudenTs gaThered for The pep assembly where The whole Thing began wiTh a cheer performed by The rally. Then iT moved on To special an- nouncemenTs and The flag saluTe. AfTer ThaT, a skiT poked fun aT The opposing Team and school. Then performances of class compeTi- Tions and more cheers followed by dismissal closed The assembly. AT The game, sTudenTs uniTed wiTh The general communiTy for The Two hour game. iT's a nighT where The sTadium is filled To capaciTy wiTh everyone cheering Kelso's fooTball Team on To vicTory, commenTed Tracy Wil- liamson, varsiTy rally member. A local fan, and former vice- principal, Tom C9eneTTe, said, CommuniTy supporT is very much cenTered around The high school, so iT's logical ThaT The fooTball Team receives as much supporT as any- one else. We are very proud of all who are involved: The coaches, The Team, cheerleaders, marching band and KilTies. Specific groups involved in The games included cheerleaders, marching band, KilTies, Lassies and The DownTown QuarTerbacks. The TavoriTe cheers of The homeTown crowd included 'il?ock STeady, Eddy and i'We Are, Kelso. The Team swarming around The field in a TighT group chanTing i'We Are, Kelso and We don'T like nobody, really pleased The crowd. Then They disappeared un- der The sTadium.
