NCE AGAIN we have brought a group of Kellyans through four years of the happiest time of their lives to commencement. From here they look backward for retrospect and appreciation of the best that has been. They look forward for per- spective and discovery of new opportunities. They leave the de- pendency of childhood and enter adulthood, where they must make their own decisions and take the consequences for their own judgment. They have learned, through the profitable experiences of special interest clubs, the skills of democratic participation in organizations that concern them and the wise choice in the use of their leisure time. Students have been urged to deal honestly with current issues and have been provided abundantly with the literature of facts for both sides of controversial questions. They have learned that work is necessary for survival, but the development of a cooperative personality able to get along with peo- ple supersedes excellence of skill in a single job, and that the quality of the person on the job is the first importance. Since we have become citizens of a world federation we have learned that the American must be willing to accept the responsi- bilities for understanding the attitudes of his new brothers and to hold firm to the beliefs so fundamental to our way of living. We believe our graduates are well prepared for this step into the adult world and that the change will be so gradual that it will not be upsetting. We trust that they will preserve goodness, decency, and faith in the world wherever they find themselves. W., ci ,wa

How to make boys and girls feel secure in their high school was the theme of the P.1rent-Te.1cher Association this year. The various phases of this topic were taken up at regular sessions the third Wed- nesday afternoon of each month. After the business, discussion, and entertainment, each meeting closed with 1 social half hour at which time refreshments were served, usually including the cnkes or cookies for which Brighton mothers have won renown.
