MCKEAG I Assistant Principal ' Page 12 ' iff At the close of its sixth year of existence, the Kelly High School stands as a monument to the many students, teachers, parents, and friends in the com- munity who have sacrificed and given freely of their time and effort in developing one of the finest educational institutions in our great city. In the face of many serious handicaps centering namely in overcrowded condi- tions, Kelly has established a tradition and spirit which shall stand as a challenge to all who enter its portals. Spirit and tradition are the keystone of any great institution, which if removed, would cause the institution to crumble. The Iune class of 1939 and the February class of l94Othave carried well the lighted torch symbolic of Kelly Spirit and have accepted in full measure its share in establishing the tradition which is to guide those who follow. As the torch is passed on to those who continue, it is done so with a lteen sense of the serious obligation involved. Kelly faces the future with confidence that those who follow will carry on the ideals so firmly established. . 1
