Text from Pages 1 - 46 of the 1961 volume:

H ; Phiration Robert J. Hermesch, vice-presi- dent of the junior class, died in an automobile accident on January 8. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Her- mesch, Robert was born February 12, 1944. It seems that everywhere there is one vacant place. Indeed we miss Bob in every area of school life, for where there was activity, there was Bob. Not only did he hold a place on the honor roll each six-weeks, but he went in wholeheartedly for extra- curricular activities speech, chorus, and athletics. He was preparing for the county festival and for the annual co-op contest, both of which he entered last year. He helda position on the first team in bas- ketball. The respect he held in his own class is evident from the fact that he was a class officer each year. Surely it was not hard for Bob to give an account of his talents, for he had many of them and he used them exceptionally well.
