Coach Ed Hi emstra KELLOGG WILDCATS Co -Captains Jeff Wombolt and Rich Porter led the way through another successful hoop season coached by Ed Hiemstra. Although state champion- ship was not among their gains the Wildcats still proved to be the power house of North Idaho. De- feated only by Couer d' Alene in the district tourna- ment the Wildcats won the conference trophy. Orfino defeated the Wildcats at the regional tournament in Couer d' Alene thus eliminating them from state competition. One over night trip was taken by the team when they played Moscow. A thrill to both players and students was the game against John Rogers High School in the Spokane Coliseum. A basketball dinner was given by the Odd Fel- lows Lodge in honor of the team and cheerleaders. Coach Hiemstra intnroduced the players and cheer- leaders. Co-Captains: Rich Porter and Jeff Wombolt.
