49. The James Estes Home - Estes was one of the first settlers to purchase land in 1839. Este's son, James Jr., bequeathed about 315,000 to build Kelleys Island School. 53. The Norbert McKillips Home - This home was built in 1870. It was occupied by the Karl Von Seeholzer family. In 1898 Karl's son, Charles, operated the winery until 1907. It was known as Charles Seeholzer and Son Winery. 50. The Cleary Home - This home was built during the Civil War. Titus Hamilton, who fought in the Civil War, and family lived here. ,f . Many changes have taken place since then. The marina is a busy place in the summer. The August Schaedler Home - The home was built by Schaed- ler in 1868, after the land was purchased from Addison Kelley. The winery was built later. I I I 1 45. Inscription Rock - In 1834, Charles Olmstead discovered the rock. Some say it is the work of the Erie Indians, others, the Mound Builders. 46. Members of 4-H Clubs from several coun chased by the Ohio Regular Baptist Home and Camp Inc. Many ties use the camp during the summer youngsters come to the camp each summer.
