Seeholzer I will always remember my first day of school. I wasn't excited. I was petrified! Mom drove me to school. As we drove to school, I kicked off my shoes, pulled off my socks and refused to leave the car. Mom changed my mind! After the first few hours, I found' I liked school and have enjoyed it ever since. I have three younger brothers, Jim 16, Mike 14, Chris 11. My only sister is Karen, age 15. We are a very close family and enjoy doing activities together. gllylfavorite sports are swimming, baseball, basketball, football, and riding my horse, 1 o. I'm very pleased that I will not be a lone graduate, but will be graduating with my good friend Gary. We have had many great times together. I would like to thank my father and mother for helping me through 12 years of school. My future plan is to study to become a nurse. ff11t!5'FiLM'l:fi age!-.-5' vga e Z ' , :F ,, ,' 1 X -J., IY1f.'Q,1-- - ' -ii ' ' il- 1- - ' 1 . ii if 'S ,, ' '1' . .y,A'A -' 1 'M' Lili ,.h.-.Ls.. Gary Finger I looked forward to going to school even when I was smaller. I went to Severance A Millikin School and Monticello Junior High School in Cleveland Heights. I have two brothersg Charles 33 and Wayne 30. My parents have a bowling alley in Cleveland. lt is named Center Mayfield Lanes. My favorite sports are baseball, basketball and football. My future plans are un- certain right now because they change with every conversation I have with some- one. I would like to thank my parents, Wayne, and Michelle for the help they have given me. Prophecy Gary and Debbie were sitting around the fireplace at Debbie's house in Montana on a cold winter's night. Debbie, a registered nurse, was enjoying a relaxful afternoon at home with her classmate of '76, Gary, a successful hotel owner, had come for the weekend in his jet plane. They started talking about their past life and decided to get their 1976 yearbook out. As they were looking back upon old memories of their high school days, they decided to visit their old friends. They hopped into Gary's jet and told the pilot to head for the Emerald Isle , Kelleys Island. They arrived just in time to appreciate once again the Island's famous sunset. The two were quite hungry and decided to find a spot to eat. They went to Tony's Pizzaronie Shop and got a pizza. When they went to the counter to pay for their meal, they asked the little round man at the counter if he knew what happened to the High School Class of 976. The little round man said that he was in high school in the year '76, Gary finally realized that he was speaking to his pal Tony. Tony decided this was no time for work! So he closed his shop and the three of them sat down at a table to talk. Debbie asked Tony if any- thing new was happening to her sister and three brothers, whom she had not seen for years. Tony said that Jim had his own construction business. Her father had retired and left Jim a business worth Sl00,000. Jim Jr. has many construction businesses across the United States. He is 21 and figures on retiring soon. Mike is a second baseman for the Cleveland Indians. He earns 350,000.00 a year. He has been All-Star for five years. Since Mike has beeg iri time cleague, different baseball clubs have offered him a million dollar contract. He hasn't accepted because he wants to be close o e s an . Karen is starting a beauty salon in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. The business looks favorable and she expects a great profit. She also models on the side. Tony filled Debbie and Gary in on what everyone else was doing. Tim is unemployed now. He was a pilot for T.W.A. He is keeping busy by restoring old time planes. He then sells them. They are on display in many museums across the country. Charlie is a stock car racer in the Indianapolis 500. He purchased his stock car from Bobby Unser and races in many of the events. He has a couple of trophies that he prides very much. Vinnie now owns the Miller Marine Service and the Marine Grill. It is a successful business. She plans to have a reunion for all the school members. She is probably at the dock giving gas to a 60' cabin cruiser. Pam is now the Post Mistress of Kelleys Island, Ohio. She lives in the same house that she lived in when she was in school. She still has her 10 speed bike and rides it home everyday. They heard a knock on the door and Tony walked over to open it. In walked Sam, his brother, who had just come back from a vacation in California. He owns his own auto shop. Sam talked to both Debbie and Gary for three hours. Sam is married and has 10 children- five boys and five girls. Finally Debbie said that they had to go because Gary's pilot was going to pick them up early the next morning. Tony told them that the pizza and the refreshments were on the house. Gary and Debbie walked outside. They decided Kelleys hadn't changed much. The Island was as beautiful and restful as it always had been. They walked down Division Street to the Seeho1zer's where a happy reimion followed. The next morning Tony saw Gary's jet fly over his pizza shop. He saw Debbie and Gary waving. ,-. l it U! TFT F, fy.. Undergraduates Juniors Jim Seeholzer Sam Siciliano 7 f 1 w Q ,. In 1776 the pioneers t thelr kicks, But the Engltsh th t they were cool, Soon they found out t y were fools, Because the colonists got thelr licks. The English tlghtened thelr control, Whlch hurt the colonists soul, Lexington and Concord started lt all, But the Brltlsh were bound to fall. Men, women and chlldren dld flght, Until the Brltlsh saw the llght, The Liberty Bell wlll always toll, For freedom is ln our soul. Chrls Seeholzer 1776 was a long tlme ago, But people back then had one mlghtyefoe. America was at war with England t n, It was a terrible time for all kln. Many battles were fought on land and at sea, But that was because they wanted to be free. They fought bravely and many were kllled, But a very strong country they dld build. They got their freedom and they deserved lt, And for our generatlon they have preserved lt. So we better get onthe ball, Or our country wlll surely fall. Marte Feyedelem Drum - Drum went the drummer, Tweet - Tweet went the piper. Away swang the Red, White, and Blue. The men marched on too. The bell rang loud and true, The people's horns dld blow, We're free, We're free. Connie Matso There once was a Klng who taxed our tea, So we dumped ln ln the sea. But when the Klng saw what we had done, He dldn't think lt was much hm. When he sent some troops, Which were ln large groups. They found out the had news, They told the King lt would not jlve, That's how we won ln l7'l5. Paul Matso The Redeoats Bang the sound went about, Then there was a shout. People screaming, Redcoats scream g, Pushing people around. Walking them lnto the ground. People running everywhere, Redcoats kllllng w thout a care. Houses ln a flame, No one will take the blame. There ls no sound, No one runnlng around. All there ls, ls a dog named Rover. lt's all over. They'll be back someday, Then the Redcoats wlll pay. Sherry Wlllls The Boston Tea Party The Brltlsh of the sea, Declded to put taxes on our tea. So we boarded thelr ship, And threw the tea into the sea. When the Brltlsh discovered the tea, They sent more troops by sea. Boston Harbor was closed, But how the Brltlsh were opposed. Colonlsts helped thelr fellow men, With much ald they dld send. For our freedom can't be suppressed wmcn new me nriusn nm confessedl Mike Seeholzer When the Bicentennial comes, Little kids think lt's just fun. But as we all know, .Ougt gorefathers fcgght through the snow. u or ou ou ow. That's what hippened long ago, About 1776 or so. Tony Slclllano Over the coloules the land was free, And the people were wllllng to toll. Then came that question of that tea, Which made the colonists begin to coll. Soon came great important men, And to freedom these rebels led their kln. Adams, Jefferson, Henry and Ben, To lose what they gave would be a sin. Karen Seeholzer The Hard Llle It must be hard, To travel so far. Start from nothing, But to bulld to something. They planted crops, And raised stock, To keep them allve, And that was no lle. Sam Slclllano A young lad asked of history, And what lt ts to us. Is lt somethinglreal? Or ls lt somet Ing that is made up? Iwas puzzled for a moment, I dldn't understand. History ls not a story, It ls all about our land. Hlstory tells us of rebels in 1776, And the Brltlsh who tried to take over our land It tells us of people who gladly fought back, Wlth sword and gun ln hand. Oh, said the lad about history, Wow, sald I about history, lt ls really no mystery. Tlm Kllko The Liberty Bell Two hundred years ago, We rang the llberty bell. Though the bell took a hard blow, We took lt all very well. The bell rang freedom for us, Although lt broke itself. Everyone thought of lt as a trust, Because it stands for us. As I walk along the land of Valley Forge, I thlnk of all the days before, When we fought against the Brltlsh ln a war I think of all the brave, Who have gone to the grave. We surely won, But lt wasn't that much.tun. Again and again we fought with the gun, But we will preserve our land, Over and over agaln. J lm Seeholzer Long, long ago oxen pulled covered wagons, Across land to a territory called Oregon. The journey was long and dangerous, But those who traveled thls trall, I Were strong, determined and fabulous. For they found they were in a land that was plentiful, sue, qulet, free and beautiful. But most of all they were full of glee, Because they had become free. Debbie Seeholzer For two hundred years, - the bell has not moved. And though we grew, lt stood very true. The bell wlll always ring, Then and forever. America wlll always sing, For freedom wlll leave us never.
