'Rain, sleet Rain, sleet, snow or hail, a person can usually find the Rodeo Club members at competitions almost every weekend, according to senior President james Huff. In February the club got new sponsors, Mr. and Mrs. jimmy Fulkerson and co-sponsors Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Leonardo. The sponsors had many duties, such as collecting entry forms and fees from members. They had to attend all of the rodeos to make sure that club members follow the rules of the association and the rodeo. Also, if there was an emergency or someone got hurt, they were able to allow medical treatment, if necessary. I feel the sponsor has put her whole heart in the club, said co- sponsor Janice Leonardo. The club members felt that the sponsors were doing a good job. Gotcha - Sophomore Donnie Leonardo catches a calf at one of the several rodeos that he attended last year. 82 Rodeo Club l , snow or hail Rodeo Club ride They're pretty neat. I like them and I think they'll do a got job, said sophomore Terry Riley. In order to qualify for the club a person needs hisfher ox equipment, such as saddle, bridle, etc., and 3535 for clues plus 35 for each event entered in a rodeo. That old familiar phrase Practice makes perfect is certair true when it comes to the Rodeo Club. The more you ride, the better you get, said Huff. No matter how good a person is in hisfher field, there can 4 room for improvement. I've been riding for three years and I still don't know what I' doing, but I'm getting better all the time, said Huff. -LORI VARDAS Heel shot - Senior Clay Stacks comes in for the heel shot during one of the rode he attended.
