Its purpose started on November 17 with a game against Fort Worth Christian. The team prepared for the game by working out for two hours in the morning and afternoon. This strategy obviously paid off, for when the team finished the season on February ll, they were 17-ll for the year and placed third in district. There were numerous memorable games - Fort Worth Christian, Diamond Hill, Hirschi, Poly and Boswell - and there were the nor-so-memorable games when we played Azle and Haltom at home, Cleburne and Fort Worth Chris- tian for the second time. Coach Branigan felt that the team did well and, with the exception of not being in the playoffs, accomplished every goal. - ALEX CHRISTIE Varsity Boys Basketball l I7
