Teams come together V, Freshman bounce back after slow start The most rewarding thing for the junior Varsity and Freshman coaches, Adele Kennedy and Beth I-lobensack, this year was watching the girls come around and start playing up to their potential and as a team. The Freshman team ended the season with a 3-5 win-loss record in zone play. The -IV, however, came out even with a zone record of 5-5. Our team spirit was perfect, the best! We always cheered in practice, in games, and for the JV and varsity teams, said freshman Heather Spore. We always looked forward to winning. After losing, we realized our mistakes, but looked forward to winning our next game, said sophomore Becky Pokluda. Sophomore Carla Chitwood and freshman Emma Plaza best summarized their team's season. We always tried and never gave up. We just kept improving, said Chitwood. We did well. We learned. We improved, and best of all, we had fun, said Plaza.
