'll Q P s Z Q6 se ze C apture the S plflt of I U L1v1n g Despite our individual goals and achievements, activities throughout the year brought us closer together as friends. The events we were a part of shaped our lives in different ways. Through each event, reflections of our own personalities were visible. Not only were our separate personalities shown through these events, but the personality of the student body as a whole. i With each new event, new feelings were encountered. The feelings mutually shared during each event were clearly displayed by our actions and the actions of our peers. Through the real life experiences each of us encountered, we sought to find sincerity in, not only ourselves, but in our friends and peers as well. The events, like Homecoming, brought us together with the past alumni of Keller High School, keeping their values and expectations alive for the current students. But, as the year passed and graduation came closer, we saw how all these events that were a part of high school formed together. And, each event we encountered stands to remind us of our past, our present, and the future we will have to attain. To remind us that we have captured the spirit of living. The Chief staff would like to dedicate this section to Mrs. Judy Cooper hr dreams sbe bas implanted in all of us. May ber values and ideals play important roles in the futures of all the students who knew ber. - DAVID HAYNES AND DIANA WILLIAMS Student Life Division Page 7

With this comment, the Varsity football players stood up and started to yell. Shouts of DEAD RED filled the air and Keller Indians flags started to wave in an excited anticipation of the evening game to come. WE WANT GRAPEVINEIIV' WE WANT GRAPEVINE!!! And that's exactly what Keller got - Grapevine handed to them on a silver platter. Over SOO cheering students filled the stands at Mustang Stadium that night to help the Indians on to a 27-I4 victory over arch-rival Grapevine High School. Nobody does it better - The Indianettes perform an exciting routine at the pep rally, but encountered some problems in practicing it in preparation due to the TEAMS test given that same week. Nevertheless, the routine was said to have beat out the Grapevine drill team's performance. And for next week - With the Homecoming game following the Grapevine game, Homecoming Queen nominees were announced at the pep rally. Here, senior Scott Boswell congratulates nominee Anissa Wilson. 8 Keller vs, Grapevine WHS Wal' It was an awesome game, junior Eddie Donnelly said at the Keller endzone after the game was over. With Grapevine ahead I4-6 after the third quarter, the Indians rallied for 21 points, scoring with a I-yard run by junior Gary Edmondson, a conversion run by senior jay Kinsey, and a 7-yard run by senior Brad White in the last three minutes ofthe game, on which White suffered an injury. In any event, the night was meant for celebration. Following the game, students went to the Keller Pizza Inn, where packets of Sweet and Low and non-dairy creamers were thrown at some Grapevine crashersf' or went to the victory party at senior Scott Boswells house immediately following the game. - DIANA WILLIAMS
