The faculty mem- bers were more than willing to dedicate the remainder of their lives to the task which lay be- fore themg the members of the student body, far outnumbering the faculty, were often a part only because they came, some- times to lie dormant in the school and its classrooms and at other times to seek only fel- lowship and friends. They took great pride in the fact that they were the third largest high school in the state and that they considered them- selves elite physically, men- tally, academically, and in every other facet of school exis- tence. 3,000 persons -- involved.
