Back Row L-R: Bob VanHorne, Larry Laramy, Iohn Hargrove, Iohn Caraway, John Frye. In their final year as high school students, the Senior Class of Floyd E. Kellam High School has much to look back upon. For the first time the Seniors sold gold pencils with the Kellam insignia stamped in black, employing the school colors, and received senior keys early, They also continued the annual lollipop sales at home football games. Seniors also defeated the Iuniors in the annual Powder-Puff game which was held, for the first time, during the daylight hours and on a Saturday. Love Comes In Many Colors , the class play. enjoyed a full house on both nights, February 26 and 27. Stars Frank Babonis. Marcia Caldwell, Becky Williams and Michael Munden were joined by other cast members under the direction of Miss Rhett Pridgen. drama teacher. Ricky Shultz was student director. Miss Inez Bryan, class sponsor. guided the class through a successful year. Ilot days in Iune had Miss Bryan and Seniors preparing for graduation. The 19171 graduating class had a small change of color at coin- mencement exercises- tassels became gold instead ot black. Highlights of the year also spotlighted the Senior Prom held in May at the White Sands Country' Club. baccalaureate and graduation ceremonies. all which were efficiently handled by class president. Bob VanHorne: vice-president, Iohn Sachon: secretary. Lane Wadsworth: and treasurer, Penny Surdoval. 87
