Founder enters Ministry Fellowship of Christian Athletes Enters Second Year: Activities Promote Principles of Christianity The Fellowship of Christian Athletes was started two years ago at Floyd E. Kellam when Coach Bill Ralph joined the school's staff. Since that time, any young man interested in illustrating the teachings of Christ through participation in athletics may join. President of the 1971 chapter of Christian Athletes was Mike Tate who was assisted by Coach Ralph. Se- niors who participated in the group and graduated included Charles Bailey, Eddie Sellers, Herb Scott, Scott Cawley, Otis Cuill, Steve Currin and Clyde Iones. Although they did participate in one local television talk show this year when Mike Tate appeared, no other activities beyond the involvement in sports was emphasized in 1970-71. Coach Bill Ralph takes varsity player Steve Currin aside for that time- out advice that often proves valuable. qlfhkv .JJ 1 ,i F 'ss x.il x.f First Row L-R: Howard Everton, Casey Millard, Eddie Sellers, Herb Mike Tate, John Akins.
