Ke ettes Take American Indian As International Project In 1970-71 - . . Under the guidance of Mrs. Elizabeth Sink and pres- ident Regina Hawk, the Kellam Chapter of the Keyettes has proved its motto of We serve. Besides promoting Christianity, the Keyettes have braved the swarming faces of people in front of the concession stand at football, baseball, wrestling, and regional gymnastics games, sold doughnuts for the local Boy's Club, sold candy, and decorated the teacher's lounge at Christmas time while also providing refreshments for the teachers. Alpha Sigma Phi Y-Teens Work For Communit And ational Efforts: S.P.C. . and PGW-MIA Alpha Sigma Phi Y-Teens. a branch of the Y.W.C.A., has as their motto, to President Cathv Perkins. vice- provide services for the school and community and to further extend as a part ot' the YWCA those services for the community. The Y-Teens were well-represented at Homecoming 1970. president Debby Payne, secre- tary Susan Bryant, treasurer Susan Malhon, and reporter- historian Teresa Solner with club sponsor Miss Nancye Taylor led the club in the fol- lowing activities: visited the S.P.C.A.. cleaned cages. and walked the animals: bought cat and dog food for the S.P.C.A.: obtained publicity for the local S.P.C.A. chapter hy having local newspapers cover their projects: fixed the club announcement bulletin board in the cafeteria: visited an old folks' home and sang carols during Christmas: visited area convalescent homes and several needy families, taking food and clothing: collected clothes for Good Will: wrote letters to Hanoi concerning POSS and MIAS3 collected clothes for the local welfare office: held an Ugly Boy Contest: and sold combs to help finance a one hundred dollar scholarship for a senior.
