Activities were slow for the Freshman class during the 71970-71 school year. Earning money is always a class' objective and this one the Freshman pursued. To sweeten everyone's year, they held a candy sale and earned approximately one hundred, fifty dollars. This money went to help co-sponsor the Crystal Ball with the Sophomore class. Each spring the two classes at Iiellani promote the joint venture which is the underclassinen's answer to the Iunior and Senior eveiits, Ring Dance and Prom. 16-l The new sponsor, Mrs. lane Quesenberry, who assumed guidance of the class at mid-semester from Mrs. Betty Uecker, found herself with the job of guiding the Freshman class through the remaining portion of the year. With the assistance of president, Kay McPhersong vice-president, Sherry Taylorg secre- tary, Alice Wadsworthg and treasurer, Virginia Klagg the year proved to be a very rewarding one for the high school neophytes. .A
