Class sponsor Mrs. Bright and Vice-president Bonnie Iones make preparations for the Ring Dance. 13 juniors Bounce Back with Victory At Kellam's Annual Iunior-Senior Basketball Game ,S Iunior officers are: L to R. Bethann Thorpe, treasurer: Doug Crowe, pres ident and Beverly Frost, secretary. The 1970-71 school year has proved to be an outstanding one for the Iunior Class. A very successful candy sale earned three thousand dollars which annually sponsors the Iunior Ring Dance, held this year on April 16 at White Sands Country Club. The Ring Dance is not only a formal ceremony at which Iuniors receive their class rings, but also a night of great entertainment. The Ring Dance and the candy sale are vivid examples of the many things that Mrs. Anne F. Bright, class sponsor, has helped the 1970-71 juniors to accomplish. Mrs. Bright feels the class of '72 has many good leaders and that the class in general is a hard working one. When asked about the future of the Iuniors as the rising Senior class, Mrs. Bright said that with the proper guidance the Iuniors have great potential to be an excellent Senior class. The officers have also played an important part in bridging the generation gap between parents - faculty and students. President Doug Crowe, vice- president Bonnie Iones, secretary Beverly Frost, and treasurer Bethann Thorpe have done well in getting ideas to the people they serve. Assisting the Iunior officers are those members of the class senate. The Iuniors have had a very eventful year. To close the football season, the Iunior and Senior girls participated in the Powder Puff game leaving the Seniors victorious. All was not lost for Iuniors, however, for the Iunior-Senior basketball game ended the season with the class of '72 in the number one spot.
