, 1 ffxzf-ff Keesler patterns Administration Building at Keesler's Annex 1153, six miles from Keesler Air Force Base. The mission ot the WSll7L Field Training Detachment is to train Air Force personnel to operate and maintain the SAMOS recon- naissance satellite, Training will be provided on site at the various test locations. Field Training Detachment gil is located at the Lockheed Missile and Space Division, Sunnyvale, Calif, Field Training Detachment 42 at Thompson Ramo-Wooldridge, Little- ton, Colorado, and Field Training Detachment -P53 at Vanden- berg AFB, Calif. All 3 detachments were organized and activated during the fall of 1959. When fully manned each field training detachment will consist oi a Commander and from 10 to 35 officer and airmen instructors, Personnel oi these organizations will participate along with contractor personnel and ARDC personnel in the development, installation and test of the satellite system.
