We have just landed in our Scenic Cruiser Rocketship to attend the reunion of the class of 1960. Through the misty moonglow we see two approaching spacemen. They are dressed in the usual spacesuits - popcorn helmets, metallic boots, gravity belts, supreme ray guns, and balloon-type uniforms. As they draw near, we recognize our reunion ad- visors NELEH LONG and DRAWDE CARD. The reunion will take place in the Lunar Saloon on Crater Street. Floating down the street we see ROBERT LAFOUNTAIN and his wife, the former SUSAN BARBER, who are well-known for being the moon’s first honeymooners. PRIM GORDON will not be able to attend due to the fact that she is babysitting for them. In the atmosphere above us we see DOROTHY LAVALLEE who has been in orbit since her fourth divorce. She just cannot decide who to marry next. Flash! Approaching is a mob of moonagers who are seeking the autograph of the famous wrestler, DAVID ’'Hercules” BASHAW. Upon entering the saloon we see Orbits- ville's famous dancer. SONDRA BEDARD. Standing next to her is the moon's renowned singer, GLORIA LOPEZ. Among the other famous celebrities we see GARY STANFORD, who is Jerry Lewis's understudy, and JOE DRAPEAU, the famous center for Notre Dame. The world travelers, the former MARY FINNEGAN and MARY Pidge CALLANAN, have just returned from the Olympics in Iceland. Accompanying them is Mary's famous track-running husband and Pidge's husband who is his manager. In parades the smooth operator of the Bachelor Girls' Society, SHIRLEY WITHER- WAX. Following her are her three best customers, VICKI Bubbles L AMOUNT AIN, MARY Bangles” DURHAM, and BEATRICE Beads MORAN. Hurrah! Our most successful classmate, BRENDA GIBSON, is now arriving. A few years ago, Brenda discovered a new rocket fuel that made our lunar trip possible. Scoop! Out on the dance floor. JACKIE KING and DAVID ROBERTSON are cha-cha - ing to the off-beat style of JOHN SAWYER and his Sleep Walkers. A long black spaceship pulls up outside and out floats RICHARD Swivel Hips SMITH, the moon's leading mobster. His crew consists of JAMES Fingers KING, his own per- sonal pickpocket; SONNY Doll Face LAGOY, his con man; and his getaway man, HOTROD STONE. Behind the door marked Private sits IN A KENNEDY and PATTY RYAN, the two owners of the Lunar Saloon. By their side are their ever-present secretaries, BONNIE MITCHELL and DONNIE WILLETTE. At the bar we see their two favorite customers, LAURA COHEN and IDANA D. D. DELORME. At the booth in the corner we see a board meeting of the trustees of Satellite High, ROBERT CLARK, principal; FRANK LECLERC, truant officer; ALAN GORDON, school surgeon; and MARGARET Robin BOWE, underpaid secretary. And sitting in the corner with their dunce caps on are MARY PULSIFER and TERESA PASHO who failed in 60 but are still trying in '80. Standing over them is NORMA PATNODE trying to penetrate them with the new moonbeam method of teaching. Off to the far left we see RUTH Crackup FLEURY and LAWRENCE Nervous FELIO discussing their old Driver Ed. class. It seems that Ruth still has not got her license and Larry is jittery over the near misses. Still working to pay their graduation bills are the errand boys for the Grand Union and A P, BOBBY LAVALLEE and EDDIE BAKER, re- spectively. One of the late arrivers is MARY EARLE and with her is her husband The Admiral.” Mary agrees with that old saying. They are cheaper by the dozen. As the door swings open we see Captain RICHARD Poncho GARCIA who is followed by his Commander's wife, the former JUDY PASSING. Judy's very famous husband is in charge of the moon's army. Among the other business executives are the former PHYLLIS BUSHEY and her husband, who operate a floating laundromat. As we pick up our luggage and start to leave, we meet HELEN WARNER and MARY ALICE TEICHMAN who were late arriving because they are Den Mothers. On our way back to the spaceship we pass the office of that very famous lawman. Sheriff PAT Hank SULLIVAN. Alas! We all board the ship and our pilot, CHUCK Speedy FINLEY, checks our safety belts. We have all enjoyed our visit here and shall return in the year 2000 for another reunion. We bid fond farewell to our moon friends and zoom off into space. Is always happy in our midst. His shyness is all over now. He has the girls all saying Wow!'' As we peek in 6A about 8:15, We spy SUE and BOB in the usual scene. He talks about baseball, basketball, and such, But Sue’s chief interest lies in the masculine touch. BOB CLARK may be shy. But we all agree he's a real great guy. He hails from Arizona and works at the Rex, And that's why we call him our Tucson Tex.” LAURA COHEN, a talented dame, May one day rise to fame. She's noted for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, Maybe some day she'll get a new line. We know her by her silly walk, We know her by her silly talk, We know she never will reform, We really know DIANA DELORME. I know a boy who is big and strong, The girls always follow him in a throng. What is the secret of JOE DRAPEAU? Every morning for breakfast he has his Maypo. MARY DURHAM, with her artist's pen. Has the clever skill to outdraw most men. Last year she came from Ti, But now she’s a senior at Keeseville High. She is thoughtful, kind, and sweet. Always dressed so cute and neat. In time a boy she will tame, MARY EARLE is her name. As Sir Joseph and George” he was great. Perhaps someday he will rate A place in the Hall of Fame, though he's shy, LAWRENCE FELIO, he's our guy. CHUCK FINLEY is a physics brain, All his formulas are right as rain. But when it comes to records he's real gone, His favorite is I Go Ape by King Kong. Nearly the tallest girl in our class, MARY FINNEGAN is an Irish lass. At basketball games she cheers for our team. And in gym class she's right on the beam. Sweet as sugar, peaches, and cream. She is always on the beam. Always complaining, never quiet, RUTH FLEURY may some day cause a riot. From Texas this guy hails. After him, many girls wail. As a bullfighter he might rise to fame, RICHARD GARCIA is his name. BRENDA GIBSON's a very smart girl, Who is always in a whirl. In June she will more than pass. For she is the smartest in her class. In this class of '60 there’s a young man. Who fancies himself as a Don Carter fan. At Plattsburgh Lanes much time he spends, Is ALAN GORDON as shy as he pretends? PRIM GORDON, shorty of her class, Is a very sweet and quiet lass. She has a giggle and pleasant smile, That is sure to last a long, long while. We are very pleased to say That we know Miss IN A MAE. She has one fault but it is fine, Miss KENNEDY blushes all the time. JACKIE KING wants to be first into space, For her there will be no perfume and lace. She has a desire to study the stars, What will she do when she lands on Mars? He is tall and he is slim, He is a guy without much vim. He is rather shy and can't sing. That's our guy, JIM KING. We have in our class, a modern Sampson, Whose set of biceps rate a king's ransom. It is DAVE BASHAW to whom we refer. With a goal in mind which no one can deter. She dances her way across the stage, Her dance steps are the latest rage. SONDRA BEDARD is our Calypso chick, All the boys think she's real slick. This dimpled gal is ROBIN BOWE, Very cute, that's all we know. Her favorite guy you can guess. Yes, he goes to P.H.S. In the newspapers we have read That PHYLLIS BUSHEY is soon to wed. Confetti, flowers, and all those things, Wedding bells are sure to ring. All the seniors like Pidge because she’s real neat, If you don't know her you're missing a treat. MARY FRANCES CALLANAN is the one we admire so much, We consider her the girl with the golden touch. JJoem SONNY LAGOY, our class Romeo, Likes cars and girls and lots of dough. He's a wolf in sheep's disguise, But an angel in the senior's eyes. VICKI LAMOUNTAIN is quite a lass, Always laughing in every class. People ask her why she’s never busy, For the last four years she's been in a tizzy. In our grade there's a girl named Dot, Who always acts like a little tot. DOROTHY LAVALLEE's never been a bore, Ask anyone who goes to the store. BOB LAVALLEE works for Lou, Five days a week and Saturday too, He rushes to work after school, Be on time is his foremost rule. FRANK LECLERC, a great Romeo, Went to Ausable ages ago. Now he sits at home to fret, Has this Romeo lost his Juliet? GLORIA LOPEZ complains day and night, That she never does anything right. She will one day win fame. For being Keeseville’s street-cleaning dame. BONNIE MITCHELL, a talented lass. The sweetest personality of our class. Yes, this girl has plenty of pep, And all agree that she is hep. BEA MORAN is a quiet gal, Always seen with Dorothy, her closest pal. Never talks at all it seems, Could it be she likes to dream? This girl lives on Davis Road, Loves her pie a la mode. In 9th grade from St. John's she came, TERESA PASHO is her name. Our on-the-spot girl is JUDY PASSINO, She is there wherever you go. Her favorite hangout is the Diner. As for food there's none finer. Our gal Suzi is really bright, She never stays out late at night. NORMA PATNODE, a studious lass, Is almost the head of her class. That famous Fannie we all know as a star, In show business she won't go far. She's still aiming high, with boys as her game, MARY PULSIFER, that red haired dame. On every school day about 8:25, Over the PA comes the familiar cry, On occasions it's distorted and hardly clear. But ROBERTSON will get through so do not fear! PATTY RYAN, and this is true, Whenever asked How do you do? Patty with her keen mind, Always answers I do fine! JOHN SAWYER walks mighty slow, But always seems to be on the go. Though John may be shy, We think he's a very nice guy. RICHARD SMITH, who's known as Bud, Acts like a demon and drives a dud. This dud he drives is painted green. In which he drives his teen-age queen. At 8:25 he's often late, The student announcements have to wait. GARY STANFORD, though it isn't a crime, Will never, ever arrive on time. ROD STONE Is our speed demon, Down the road he'll come a steamin'. Very soon he'll have his wings, While with the angels he will sing. PAT SULLIVAN, to us, is quite a guy, And here is the reason why: We consider him quite charming, And not to like him - is quite alarming. MARY TEICHMAN, our class wolverine, In the Diner was often seen. Boys are her hobby, her favorite pastime, However, she doesn’t indulge during class-time. HELEN WARNER is tall and slim, She plays sports to keep in trim. She's very tall but yet she's quick. Watch the passes from that chick. DONNIE WILLETTE, a day-dreaming lass, Is the most business-like of our class. Although she hates shorthand what can she do. Because she hates transcription, too. The class baby she was named, Can SHIRLEY WITHERWAX be blamed? For someday when schooldays are gone by, She will be with Joe, her guy.
