Page 53 . SENIOR FEATURES Page 55 e . —senior At last we have reached the top of the ladder at K.C.S. It seemed like a long hard climb, but we have many glorious moments to remember. It seems like only yesterday that a few of us ventured out for our first year in school in kindergarten. Bashful and uncertain, our class started with Edwin Arthur, Willis Arthur, Nellie Bashaw, Gerald Bedwell, Wayne Blaise, Norman Felio, Billy Doty and June Preston. Miss Fisher led us through the year to our eventful graduation to first grade. In the first grade our class was enlarged by adding Helen Coolidge, Doug LaHue, Warren Larabee, Dianne LeClerc and Ed Patnode. We experienced our first adventure in play acting with the presentation of a Christmas play with the assistance of our teacher, Mrs. McGuire. Janet Tetrault and Bob Hanley entered K.C.S. from Peru in second grade. Mrs. Fields helped us with a play entitled '“Three Black Cats On A Fence. In the third grade we were joined by Noel Peterson from New York City. We . will always remember our hilarious play, Peter Rabbit,” and the rid' lous costumes we wore. Mrs. Goff had charge of this lively group. The fourth grade brought us Marilyn LaDieu from St. John's Convent. Mrs. Bracken was our teacher. Wayne Blaise starred as Jack in the class play, Jack and the Golden Goose. There were no additions in the fifth grade, but we remember a thrilling year. Our big event was a mysterious Halloween Play. Mrs. Benoit was our rpacher. Kathy Dwyer came from Averill Park and entered sixth grade with us. Mr. Connell and Mrs. Marshall were our teachers at the Clintonville School. Willis and F.dwinArthur wrote a class song named Clintonville HiH”which was presented at an assembly. We ended the year with a successful picnic at Silver Lake. Miss Fox and Mrs. Daveys 7th graders found Mary Morrow entering from Port Kent, Nancy Charbonneau and John Cross from St. John’s Convent, and Howard Ryan from Immaculate Conceptio Convent. In the eighth grade Elizabeth Baker joined us from Troy, Lestine Eisen from Luzerne, Penny Roy, Betty LaMountain, Jean Roy, Hazel Agoney, Janette Chaperon and Judy Boland from St. lohn’s.
