KEE E 1934 KRO I0 Ill I 1.0 11 I l i nn illllulllnnn .....i.nl,z..'f.asii. .- ..:iL..u. ..-,.iii. uni.... i l. s..... .,.,..nlIII Ililn r+lIll-I' faxl. HIS year the motto, Enter to learn-go forth to serve , has been brought nearer to us than ever before. A glance into the 1934 yearbook should serve to make this everpresent in the minds of Keene Normal students, both here and after gradua- tion. Have you ever thought just what the motto means? Perhaps it has been said so many times with- out thought that it has become trite and stereotyped. It means exactly what it says-- enter to learn -not to waste time, to join every club possible or to be in every type of athletic activity, but to learn. lt does not mean trying to bluff your way through classes although most of us try that wornout trick at one time or another. It means that if you wish to become successful in your chosen profession and to be of serv- ice to your pupils and community, you must be de- termined to learn and be truly anxious to go forth to serve . We will encounter new situations-many of them difficult to surmount, but, with the help of this motto and our high ideals of responsibility, we will be able to hold high the banners of Keene Normal, and make our school proud of us. In all our work let us remember that To every man there openeth a way and ways and a way And the high soul climbs the high way And the low soul gropes the low And in between, on the misty flats The rest drift to and fro. But to every man there openeth a high way and a low And every man decideth the way his soul shall go. limit fi
