MATH DEPARTMENT The mathematics department of KHS offers a highly developed course of study. Students may progress from elementary algebra to college calculus. For those pursuing mathematics further, SAMSON, the computer is available to aid in developing computer programming techniques. Mathematics is essential to anyone continuing on to college, or going directly into business. The math department offers a sound basis for any type of work. 23

Anyone who aspires to become a secretary, bookkeeper, or any other business centered occupation has likely seen the inside of the Business Education Department's Doors. With Mr. Reynolds as its new chairman this year, courses such as typing, shorthand, economics, and bookkeeping are offered. The students who complete these courses will be better able to seek business positions or continue on to college due to their skills, with thanks to this department.
