Our years at Keene High School are spent in hard work striving to acquire as much knowledge as possible. The knowledge we acquire is not only gained from the subjects we are taught in the classroom but also from our extracurricular ac- tivities. The 1963 SALMAGUNDI stresses the im- portance of these phases of learning. The key of knowledge unlocks the most important thing of all-the door to the future. The door on the end sheets represents the door to the future. At the beginning of our high school career it is closed. After four years have elapsed, we gain possession of the key to open this door. We must remember that beyond this door there are many more doors in life which will have to be opened. Although our key will help to open them, we will need many more. These keys can only be found through searching, working hard, and continuing to learn. ig. ,S Q.

It is with the greatest pleasure that we dedicate the 1963 SALMAGUNDI to a person who has given fourteen years of outstanding service to Keene High School. As head of the Social Studies Department, you have imparted knowledge which will make us better citizens with an understanding of the ideals of democracy. You have exerted a profound influence upon our future by guiding us toward our life work. As we look back upon our years at Keene High School, we will always remember the light in your room even though the corridors were dark. No problem was too small or too great for your attention.
